It feels like a bookcase type of day! This time Nicky Stevens posing nude against another bookcase on tiptoes! Again this one is more likely to be in GHM’s flat than the other image, but not sure?
Dedicated to the published work of Harrison Marks & other prominent photographers of the 1950's, 60's and early 70's. Along with popular glamour models such as June Palmer, Pamela Green, Dawn Grayson and others
that's a good one of Nicky – she doesn't always pose to show the full quality of her figure – holding her breath to bring her stomach in a bit in this one it looks like – this one is spot on though! It does make you wonder what power GHM had over these girls, you know, how he went about his trade. roop

Happy New Year Roop!It is one of the better shots of Nicky I agree, shows of her full figure to good effect without props or costume!

Nicky, if she was with me once upon a time, I could eat her, but I am no kannibal. I would have held her always very tight to me,and If I had to part with her because of work, be sure I would have had her name taped to my heart. I might still tape it to my heart, this lovely beautiful British girl, be proud of her you Britons! Yours Nils from Sweden..

Nils, eat y' heart out, mate! Met her in '60 when she first came down to London from Warrington to test the waters re modelling. A lot of photos on www are from '60-'62, not later as often stated, recognise a few. Her mum came down, too, to check she was ok, both going horse-riding at a local stud, shopping with my mum. Her mum was chubbier, but a stunner! Was a model herself before/during war (possibly an ex-Windmill girl) married a guy from 'oop nort', had 3 kids, 2 boys who were in boxing club, hence Nicola was actually called 'Whacker'. Yup, she knew how to deal with errant boys, a quick uppercut and that was that sorted! Nicki was after quick cash to buy a shop with her friend, Barbara Halks (sewing/curtains/clothes brik-a-brac, don't know name for it, haberdashers?) They were slight friends with Paul McCartney's older sister who lived near the shop they were buying. Barbara wanted to eventually move to NY and open shop there, she'd been there on holiday (fairly rich family, had her own car). So maybe they're both there, today. Nicki was a fab girl, bubbly, cuddles all the time, always laughing, intelligent, charming, spoke posh English not Liverpool – but beware annoying her, that punch HURT! Had I been older and had some money maybe I'd have chanced asking her out, she wasn't disinterested, mmm? We spent the weekend with Dougie Webb on the Isle of Weight, photos on beach, rough an' tumble in the sea (red-face time, perky girls with wandering hands!) but in swim-wear as there were people around. Great time! But all Webb's negatives were destroyed in fire, so no photos. I still look at photos of 'My Wacks' and long to turn time back. And be a little older…

Thank you anonymous, I appreciate any comment on the fate of all the UK-girls that I have, and still do admire.Pretty they are and should never ever be forgotten. I am from old Sweden, but surely I believe that UK-girls were ahead of time in challenging censors who were harassing pix of these wonderful girls.I honour them all and wish I could go back to the sixties, nevertheless I will always admire these girls.
