June Palmer – Biography

Born on the 4th August 1940 in Bromley, Kent little did her parents know the impact that in later years she was to make on the male population, both at home and abroad. With June Palmer’s fabulous figure, hair and face, she was the stuff boys and men dreamt of. During the 1960’s June Palmer’s pin-up poses adorned many a wall, locker door, or workshop coffee room table in one of the many magazines she appeared in.

Although June Palmer was often associated with George Harrison Marks, there was another partnership less well known. That of June Palmer and Arthur Howell, the man who both discovered and later married her. Although they were together for about ten years, they ran Strobe Studios above a Photo Mart shop in Clapham, London from the 1950’s until the late 1980’s.  June used to take a great interest in the photo’s taken of her at strobe and not only posed herself many times, but also had a string of well known models on the books at Strobe.  These models are said to have included Mary Maxted (Millington) and Ava Cadell during the 1970’s.

June stopped professionally modelling for magazines in 1970 at the age of 30 (apart from a brief return in 1976). By this time she had become a successful model agent and was running Strobe Studios with Arthur, but she continued to do private modelling from Strobe and ScottLee studios for London’s various camera clubs until the early 1980’s. She also continued to do private work up until late 1987, but shortly after that gave up modelling completely when she married her second husband David Milan.  June died suddenly on 6th January 2004 after a short illness, but left behind a modelling legacy that still endures today and sees images of her throughout her career as popular as ever. Her marathon career was motivated in no small measure by personal satisfaction. Anyone who photographed her will testify to her professionalism and dedication, and to the fact that June loved doing nude work.

Cop A Load of Caron! (Original)

Caron Gardiner from a restored print sent through by Kevin. That looks like plastic sheeting in the background and on the floor, so the mind boggles as to why that was needed, but oiled bodies spring to mind :)

A Day in The Sun!

A second shot of Venetia Day by Terry Sparks whilst on location in Rhodes in 1971. Unlike the first shot here, this is a wider shot of her, soaking wet with her arms out wide, as she stands in the sea.  I love the pose and how the water glistens on her wet dark body. Another stunning shot shared by Terry :)

Monique The Casbar Queen! (1967)

A still from the 1967 glamour film ‘Casbar’ (Film No: E.15 ) by Harrison Marks featuring an unnatural looking Monique Devereux! Not only is she stood on tiptoes, but she also seems to be sucking everything in for some reason! Its a great still from the film, but she just looks odd posing like that, or is it just me being over critical of the shot? I know her stomach was flat naturally, but this is over exaggerating it a bit.

Lillian Parker – Rough & Smooth!

Another late 1960’s model that is one of my favourites is Lillian Parker (Adrienne Stoute). As well as having a larger than average bosom on her, she was also one of the few models that bucked the trend in the early 1970’s and remained smooth and shaven down below, as shown in this shot with a more bushy friend! She was another of the first models I posted over on Tumblr and remains a favourite today, although, new unseen images of her are hard to come by! This is a new shot for me and I love the way she is posing with her friend, as they pull the panties tight between their bits, showing the contrast between the two.

An Over The Shoulder Look! (Original)

A great portrait shot of June with long hair, as she looks over her shoulder at the camera.  Although June seems to be nude in the shot, not a lot of her is on show, but still a pretty good view and love the earrings and the lamp in the background. Thanks to Kevin for sharing this shot of June from his archive :)

June Palmer: Bird With a Bush (1973)

Another original shot of June from 1973 taken by an amateur photographer that met and photographed June on occasions, this one showing her in a reclining view on a chaise lounge. The original was again very orange, either on purpose (filter) or due to negative quality, so converted to black and white. The focus seems to be aimed higher up June’s body on her face and upper torso, rather than the lush bush seen at the bottom of the shot (shame!).

Nancy Roberts – A Sunny Outlook! (1959)

A stunning shot of Nancy Roberts posing on a beach with only a sun hat and beach towel for shade. It comes from a photographic glass plate and was taken in September 1959 at the beach near Sheplegh Court, Devon. What a body on view, including a peak of her uncensored bits.

I’ve also realized that this set of shots of Nancy come from the Michael Winner film ‘Some Like It Cool’ (1962) and although she is never credited in the film, Nancy appears on several posters and lobby cards advertising the film. The shots in the posters seem to be at this location and in similar positions.

Don’t Take The Michael!

Sorry but this is a moan rather than another post of a beautiful model, but it’s come to my attention that certain members are abusing their ability to see larger images! Now I had hoped that allowing you to see much larger images, especially those from my own collection and others would be appreciated. But apparently a small minority think it’s OK to copy, take and publish on other sites without giving credit to this site. I’ve started adding a watermark on the images for the site and they didn’t even disguise the fact it was from here by removing it!

I’ll put it simply so there is no misunderstanding, I do this at no cost to you and great time and cost to me, because I enjoy it and most people here are very appreciative. Take the piss and I’ll stop! There will be no members, you’ll all get very small images and I’ll stop sharing the exclusive content, simple! New Membership disabled until further notice.

I know I can’t police the whole internet, but when I come across my own large images on Reddit and other sites, with that person taking credit, saying it annoys me is putting it mildly!

Rant over and you’ve been warned!
