Who Would Have Thought!

I started this blog in March 2013, so only 7 months ago and can’t quite believe the response it has had since then!  It all started with me finding the image below of Pamela Green from Kamera Backstage, sending me on a journey to find out more about her and Harrison Marks and other models of that period.

Now 7 months on I’m hooked and love finding more images, information and anecdotes.  What has amazed me is the number of other genuine fans out there and the new and unseen content they have provided.
I very much doubt this site would be as successful without the contribution from all of you in the form of comments,  information about the models and the fantastic photo’s you are all sending through.  I really do appreciate you sending me this content and allowing me to share it on this blog for others to enjoy as we do. So a big thank you to you all and please carry on making this site as exciting, fun to work on and the success it has become.

A Rare Uncensored Pamela Green

It’s very rare to find many uncensored shots of Pamela Green, so when I was contacted via the site by Simon with this photo it was a true pleasure indeed.  The photo is taken from a Kamera slide and I’ve done the usual restoration work on the colour and blemishes.  As Simon says in his mail the interesting thing about it, is that it is quite a revealing shot of Pam as she usually liked to keep herself quite concealed either by using cross legged shots or by resorting to a bit of censorship.
Another notable point was her shaven pubic area compared to most other models at that time.  Obviously being the true professional, it was all done in the name of her art and making it easier to censor the shots for publication.  I’ve read articles where she never used to wear tight clothes before a shoot, so that no crease lines were visible and that she joined a nudist camp to get an all over tan.  So doing this doesn’t surprise me.
Location wise it seems to have been taken in the flat she shared with Harrison Marks as there are other shots of Pamela posing as Rita Landre on the same bed.

Brides in The Bath – Part 1 (Video)

So as promised the full version of ‘Brides in the Bath’, well part 1 anyway, as I needed to keep the file size down for hosting!
This film was based loosely around the true life story of serial killer and bigamist George Joseph Smith.  I won’t bore you with the details, but if your interested in the real story there is a link here
The story behind this film … Arthur Howell was hired to shoot a musical version of the Brides in the Bath story by someone whose name might have been Moscowicz. The details about who wanted this film are sketchy as the notes made at the time were destroyed in a fire. Fortunately the film itself survived. Harry Roy was to have written the music, but he died before shooting started, but the film was shot silent anyway. As Roy died on 1st February 1971, the film must have been shot at some point after this.  Arthur was never paid, so he hung onto the film until he sold it to my contact John W around 1985. He put together the film as best he could, but the film bears very little resemblance to the real story.

So how did I come by this film?  I saw a brief clip ‘June The Newlywed’ on YouTube posted by John and mailed him to ask permission to use the short clip being a June Palmer fan.  John kindly replied saying I could use the clip and then offered me the full film and the history of the film as described above.  Great I thought, an unseen June Palmer film to share, but I nearly fell of my chair when I watched the full version!  Not only does it start June Palmer, but a number of other well known models of that time including Teri Martine, Dawn Grayson, Jayne Tracey and others I have as of yet been unable to identify. The highlights for me?  The Dawn Grayson & June Palmer bath scenes of course!
