Pamar Colour Slide Catalogue (1957)

I’ve been after a copy of this Pamar Colour Slides catalogue for some time now and thanks to Paul from Firebird Records I now have a copy to share. Pamar Productions Ltd was formed by both Pamela Green and Harrison Marks in June, 1957 (Even before Kamera No.1 was published) with both being equal partners in a venture to provide quality 35mm slide sets of the models. This catalogue shows 81 sets produced under the Pamar title, but these shouldn’t be confused with slide sets titled ‘Harrison Marks Colour Slides’ and produced by Kamera Cine Films, of which there were 70 sets produced. Another difference between the different slide sets was that originally the Pamar sets came in a small box, whereas the later sets were sold in a flat transparent plastic wallet.

Having now looked through this catalogue I realize I have over 30 individual Pamar slides in my collection, but unfortunately no full sets! It seems that over the years these sets have been broken down and sold on individually, with many not even having the original grey cardboard holder, just the colour negative itself.

Enjoy the catalogue below and I hope it helps identify the slides and sets produced, as I know it helped me, as I now have to go back and tag the slides I’ve collected to the set name and number. All good fun!

Three Backstage Beauties

Madeleine Mado (Maria Hale), Mary Deighan and Pamela Green posing in the dressing room from a 35 mm Pamar colour slide sent over by Kevin. This reminds me of this image that started me on this journey back in 2013, where does the time go! Although this image of the three girls was taken at the same time as the other images that appeared in Kamera backstage, this specific shot doesn’t actually appear in the publication, so maybe only ended up as a slide?

Rosina Revelle – Don’t Call Me Baby!

I mentioned in my last Rosina post about a set of curious silver gelatin photo’s of her posing dressed in a nappy in a babies cot, well here’s one of those images! You can only just see the nappy she’s wearing in this shot, but in others it is more obvious and that’s definitely a cot! The reasons behind this idea I’ll leave to everyone’s imagination, but thanks to Girlymag for sending over more of this bizarre set.

Nancy Roberts – Monte Carlo or Bust! (Original)

Let’s face it, if you get down as far as Monte Carlo with Nancy Roberts you are already onto a winner! A great shot of Nancy posing on the sofa in a very interesting set of themed panties and I wonder what location is placed lower down between her legs ;)

This restored silver gelatin photo was sent over from Girlymag, who has just put up a new listing of photo’s for sale of some of your favourite 1950’s and 60’s glamour models, so worth a look here. And thanks to him for sending this and other shots over for me to share on this blog :)

Jean Rogers & Judy Geeson – Contrasting Curves!

One tall and slender with long legs and small perky tits (Judy Geeson), the other smaller, but with a rounder, fuller figure and bigger tits (Jean Rogers). What a great contrast of figures in this shot and I love both for different reasons. Judy looks very elegant with her long legs in stockings with her dark exotic looks, whereas Jean in her frilly black panties looks built for fun, although I’m not sure about the knee-length socks or whatever they are called. This is the first of 10 restored prints of the two girls posing as the strip out of what clothing they actually have on!

My preference seems to lean towards the built for fun figure, but I have exceptions to that rule, such as Judy and of course Dawn Grayson.

Jean, Judy & Sandy Too!

Restored from a scan of an original silver gelatin photo, we have a great threesome in the shapes of Jean Rogers, Judy Geeson and Sandy Morrow. This shot is from early in the shoot, as we only get a flash of boob as the girls drop their bra straps. Notice the contrast in size from left to right, Judy’s impressive bosom down to Jean’s pert little one! I have a few other shots from this set where this little threesome reveal more!

Very contrasting hairstyles as well, and I think I prefer Jean Rogers as a blonde, as I’ve seen her with dark hair. Also, Sandy Morrow is another 1950s model that has that typical 50s hairstyle making her look older than she probably is!

Marilyn Monroe – Black Lace Top Dress! (Original)

I don’t post many normal posts, but when I do they are absolute crackers! This is one of those shots and of non other than Marilyn Monroe, which comes from a scan of a 35mm latent slide from Kevin. I’ve been kindly allowed to post this here as it’s too good not to share, but sorry about the watermark as if we didn’t protect it in some way it would end up being copied and sold as prints by others on eBay! Yes, it happens more than you think to us, so hence the watermarks and only being shared here and nowhere else.

It’s still a stunningly beautiful shot of Marilyn in this revealing lace top dress and was taken by Bruno Bernard in 1959.
