From Kamera Special No.1 (1957) comes this figure hugging pose by an unknown model. Early in the publication timeline of Kamera, this shot is more in line with the early publications of Fiesta, where Harrison Marks used to publish models scantily clad in underwear rather than nude. There is something about this shot that appeals without having to show bare skin, be it the stockings, the figure hugging corset or maybe the panties with little bows on it! A classic shot!
Marilyn Monroe – Fiesta Magazine, July 1957
Not my normal post, but one I couldn’t resist! I’m a big Marilyn Monroe fan and I used to post images of her on an old blog, but there are so many images out there of her I got a little bored! I came across these shots and hadn’t seen them before and they were in an early Fiesta Magazine (July 1957), along with some other of my favourite models. Anyway I loved the classic cover and her as the centrefold, so decided to post on here for a change :)
Enjoy!
Lorraine Burnett by Eva Grant (1957)
Lorraine Burnett posing in a red and white polka dot bikini from Fiesta Magazine (June 1957). This was from a feature of articles by Eva Grant called ‘changecoat’ showing how the appearance of a model can be complete changed by clothes, hairstyles. lighting etc. This was changecoat No.6 featuring different images on Lorraine Burnett.
Lydia Barton & The Leopard Skin Nipple Pasties!
You learn something new every day, who knew these small round caps covering the nipple and areola were called nipple pasties! Here is Lydia Burton wearing a set of pasties and matching choker and leopard skin panties from Kamera Special No.1 (1957) by Harrison Marks.
Pasties emerged in burlesque and striptease from the 1920s as a way to avoid breaking the law by performing topless or nude and came to be regarded by some as more aesthetic and erotic than showing the actual nipples. Me I prefer to see a nice pair of nipples, but add some tassels and I can see the appeal!
Margaret Warhurst – Kamera Special No.1 (1957)
A wonderful pose by Margaret Warhurst for Harrison Marks and published in the Kamera Special No.1 (1957). The second shot of Margaret from this publication and both very different, both can be seen … Here
Lydia Barton (1957)
Lydia Barton from the pages of Kamera Special No.1 (1957). Another stunning beauty that posed for Harrison Marks in the late 1950’s appearing in this magazine and also the first edition of Femme. I think I’ve seen her in early editions of the pocket editions of Carnival, but unknown as to where else she went on to appear.
The Classical Diane Hedges (1957)
Another brilliant shot of the classical Diane Hedges from this set in Kamera Special No.1 (1957). Such a beautiful face to look at , oh and of course her magnificent chest as well!
Marie Deveraux – Composed Blonde

Marie Deveraux wearing a blonde wig from this photo set of which several shots, including this one appeared in Kamera Special No.1 (1957). Love this soht of her looking down on you as she thrusts her exposed breasts towards you!
