More Tina Madison in White Panties (Original)

After the success of the first image from this set of Tina Madison I have now been sent another shot from taken by David Nugus. This is a much clearer shot and after a little editing clearly shows Tina sat posing on a stool in white panties from 1962.

Tina Madison Ektachrome (Original)

I love it when people contact me via the blog and send me stories of how they met and photographed models that have appeared on the pages of this blog and this is one such example.

David Nugus contacted me via the site at the beginning of the year after seeing some of my 3D images of Tina Madison. He mentioned he had some original photo’s he had taken of Tina and was I interested, which of course I was. Jump forward to last week and the above image appears in my inbox with a message from David that he had finally managed to sort out his images of Tina and this was the first one.


As you know I like to know details and background if possible about where and when images were taken and David provided me the following narrative.


This image along with others were taken at Stratford, East London in 1962 at a photography studio known as “Jonmar” studio and Tina was one of the resident models. David was at the time doing some free-lance glamour photography and Tina was one of two models he photographed at this venue, the other was unusually for the time an Indian girl.
It’s a wonderful image of Tina and so pleased to be able to share it first here on my blog with permission from David. Hopefully there will be more to come and can’t wait to see them!

Vera Day – Corset & Cleavage


Two simply stunning backstage shots of Vera Day wearing a great combination set of black corset, panties, and stockings. My favourite is the top side shot of her playing with the frills of the corset, but also getting a great view of that cleavage pushed up by the corset. Two very classic and classy shots from the 1962 hardback book by Harrison Marks, simply title ‘Vera’.

Madeleine Mills – Kamera No.41 Cover

Madeleine Mills on the cover of Kamera No.41 (1962), where she also appeared in the colour centre pages. Madeleine only makes a brief appearance for Harrison Marks appearing in Kamera No.38 and No.41, along with the November page of the 1962 Kamera Calendar. She also appeared in one glamour movie ‘Miss Make Believe’, before she seems to have stopped modelling and reappeared as a TV actress, making appearances in Dr Who and as Sally in ‘On The Buses’.

She Keeps Popping Up, But Who Is She?

Another Harrison Marks model that pops up on a regular basis through out Kamera, but I have no idea who it is! Original thoughts were Jackie Salt or Rusty Gaynor, but on closer examination the figures and dates don’t match. This shot is from Kamera No.40 (1962), but she also appears in Kamera No.29 (1960) from the same set?

The Gypsy Girl

Princess Sonmar H’Arricks (Pamela Green) posing on the ‘Gypsy Set’ from the pages of Kamera No.40 (1962). I haven’t published a PSH image for a while, so about time I did and I love this shot. Covering your body from head to foot with black boot polish must have been a nightmare, but as with everything Pamela put her hand to it was done very well. It must have been a bugger to scrub off afterwards, but I’m sure she would have got plenty of offers of help :)

Jackie Salt in the Dunes!

Continuing the theme of hair apparel we have Jackie Salt on the beach from the pages of Kamera No.41 (1962). Not a bow this time, but some form of elastic headband to help keep her long hair out of her pretty face.

Avra Bennett – To Ride A Cock Horse

Avra Bennett sat astride a beautiful white horse from the pages of Kamera No.40 (1962). Avra appeared in Solo No.18, Kamera No.33, No.34, No.37, No.40, No.52 & No.66. She also appeared in the early glamour films ‘The Strip’ (Part 1 ) and ‘The Strip’ (Part 2), ‘After the Show’ and ‘Models Mechanics’ with Paula Page. She also appears in an outdoor set of photo’s with Paula, of which a couple appear in Kamera No.40.

The title is a reference to the nursery rhyme “Ride a cock horse to Banbury Cross”, which also happens to be my home town.  The full rhyme (should you care) is:

Ride a cock-horse to Banbury Cross,
To see a fine lady upon a white horse;
With rings on her fingers and bells on her toes,
And she shall have music wherever she goes.

Vera Day – Nude & In Colour!

One of the few fully nude and colour images of Vera Day from ‘Vera’ by Harrison Marks. Classically posed on yet another leopard skin rug and it seems a leopard skin or sheepskin rug were de rigueur for any respected photographer back then!
