Cherry Orchard: No Hiding Place For Modesty!



Over the past years I’ve been busy scanning and editing my growing collection of new models taken by Terry Sparks and Cherry is one of those models! When I say new I mean new to me, not new work! Scanned from a set of 10 contact sheets with 120 different images I love this shot of Cherry trying to cover her modesty and failing as she poses in front of a mirror. A stunning model that looks familiar to me for some reason, but a fabulous slender figure on show and as with most glamour models from the early 70s onwards showing off a very full thick bush indeed!

Terry certainly had an eye for capturing his models in the best light, but I’m not so sure about the names he gave them sometimes, as I’m assuming Cherry Orchard wasn’t her real name? Saying that Cherry Orchard has a certain ring to it and probably works well for this model.

Again these are a different era and type of image to the early Harrison Marks and Russell Gay images you would normally find here, but a little bit of diversity never hurts. Especially as most of the stuff I’m posting now is original never seen before stuff that I’ve come across on my travels and worth sharing. As always a big thank you to Terry for the dates and names of the new models :)

On The Edge with Maria!


A beautiful posed shot of Maria Edge by Terry Sparks in 1972. I love the way she is sat on that stool, legs wide apart with her hands crossed in front of her. The fact she is wearing just fishnet stockings and a necklace and looking away from the camera all adds to the composition of the shot.

The Sinful Jeanette Marsden


Jeanette Marsden, the third and final model taken to Crete in May 1972 by Terry Sparks, along with Mandy Kuypers and Leanarda Colombo. Two beautiful shots of Jeanette’s tanned body with just a hint of bush in the shot, as she poses on the sea edge. I couldn’t find much about Jeanette and her career, other than she had a few minor appearances in soft-core films, including one in 1973 titled ‘The Sinful Dwarf’.

Suzette St. Clair Sets


Four different images of Suzette St. Clair by Terry Sparks, taken in different rooms of a house in 1972. I have multiple images from each set, all showing off Suzette in different rooms and items of clothing. I think my favourites and the denim shorts and her posing in the living room in the dark bodysuit.

Pippa’s Perfect Pair


Two shots by Terry Sparks from his trip to Crete in May 1972. This was Pippa Pascale, Pippa was the younger sister of Vicki Pascale (Marianne Morris) and her real name was Mandy Kuypers and was probably better known under her real name. Fantastic views of Mandy stood in the sea, flashing open her wet blouse.

Mandy was again another model I hadn’t come across until Terry sent the shots through. She followed a similar route to her sister, a spread in Mayfair, a few soft core glamour films etc.

Bobby Sparrow: Bird With a Bush!


Something a little different this morning and one to warm you through on a cold winters morning! This original of Bobby Sparrow (love the name!) comes direct from Terry and his archive of vintage beauties that he’s had the pleasure of photographing over his career.

Taken in August 1972 at Pegwell Bay in Kent, this is one of two shots sent through by Terry showing Bobby posing nude on the beach in what seems to be a wig, but showing off her magnificent figure and bush! Until Terry sent these shots I’d not come across Bobby at all, and on searching there is very little out there about her. She seems to have posed for Oui in January 1976 and made a few appearances in some 1970s sex comedy films, but that appears to be it under the name Bobby Sparrow.

Bobby Sparrow Uncovered (1972)


Bobby Sparrow without her wig, and Terry remembers that he worked with her several times during 1971 and 1972, mostly shooting the stockings and suspender belt style photo for the American market. She usually wore the wig and the only picture of her without one is above, but it does match them to a similar one published in Oui.

Terry also recounts that she was a very lively girl and good fun to have a laugh with. “I remember one occasion when she proudly showed me her pubic area trimmed into a heart shape. I think her current boyfriend was a hairdresser”.

“I don’t know what happened to her after about 1973 as we lost touch, but I did see a rather distressing article in a national newspaper sometime in the mid 1990s. It concerned an ex-glamour model called Roberta something, who had developed MS and was terminally ill. There was a picture of a very sick lady laying in bed, and I just could not make up my mind if it was her or not. I do remember that her real name was Roberta, so it may have been her, or it may have been someone totally different”.

Thanks to Terry for the story and hopefully the last part isn’t true, and it wasn’t Bobby, but unfortunately these things do happen. Thanks also to Terry for more shots of Bobby at Pegwell bay and that heart shaped bush!

At The Water’s Edge with Bobby Sparrow (1972)


Taken in August 1972 at Pegwell Bay in Kent, a colour shot sent through by Terry Sparks, showing Bobby posing nude on the beach. This one is a great shot of her posing and laying back in the shallow water’s edge, and you can just get a glimpse of bush, plus all the goosebumps, I think she was cold!

The Pamela Green Posing Guide No.3: Pose 302


A shot from one of the posing guides by Pamela Green. This pose, which is No.302 (if you hadn’t guessed!) comes from the Pamela Green Nude Posing Guide No.3 (1972). That would make her age at the time of producing this 43, but what a fabulous figure she still had and is highlighted in this stunning shot. As she mentions in one of her accompanying letters, this shot does reflect the more liberal attitude towards photography in the early 1970s, which I assume means the fact it is uncensored and shows off her hairy pussy in the shot.

It’s a superbly posed shot and the use of lighting from the right highlights her curves and long blonde hair to perfection.

Bobby at Pegwell Bay!


Another shot of Bobby Sparrow taken by Terry Sparks at Pegwell Bay, Kent in 1972. This shot comes from a set of original contact sheets by Terry and distributed to Lilo Korenjack who was his agent in Baden-Baden, Germany back in the 70s. I fortunately came across these and many other contact sets (over 700 contact sheets scanned so far!) by accident via Lilo’s niece, and now they are part of my collection.

A great shot of Bobby perched atop that piece of wood on the beach and a great smile too :)
