Molly & The Mussels (1964)

About time I published some more Molly Peters and this one comes from Kamera No.56 (1964). Molly seen here posing on what looks like a very uncomfortable spot of a rock covered in mussels on location with Harrison Marks. Probably down in his favourite Cornwall location.

Marie Deveraux – Through The Valleys of Sand! (1958)

A view from above of Marie Deveraux laying back covered in sand from Kamera on Location (1958). Taken on location in the Isles of Scilly by Harrison Marks this is a great shot of Marie, but I can’t work out if it’s been retouched. I think she was clean shaven below, but the angle of this shot looks off, but there is sand in places down there!

Beach Beauty Pamela Green (Coloured)

A stunning coloured version by Oldiznewagain of Pamela Green posing on racks down by the sea. I didn’t recognise it as one of my posts initially, until I realized it was posted back in January and a lot has happened since then! Love the ocean colour in this shot!

Nicky Stevens on Location (1966)

I had a request for some Nicky Stevens, so here it is :) The request was for Nicky au natural, but on checking I don’t actually have any of her in all her glory, in fact I don’t think I’ve ever seen any! I’m sure there must be some out there but as of yet non have come my way, but I will keep a look out for them.
This shot comes from Harrison Marks and was taken as part of the ‘On Location 66’ shoot down in Cornwall

Marie Deveraux – A Sandy Outlook (1958)

A very beachy view of Marie Deveraux from Kamera on Location (1958). Sitting topless in the sand dunes wearing a sarong, blond wig and scarf. The scarf was obviously an accessory for the shoot as they all wore them and I know they were popular back then, but why wear both the wig and scarf? Anyway, who cares about the scarf with that view. :)

Pamela Green – The Golden Hour!

Did Pamela Green ever take a bad photo? Looking at those I’ve published and seen so far I don’t think so, in fact the camera loved her and whatever pose she tried seemed to work.

The above image is a good example of her at her best posing for Harrison Marks on the Scilly Isles for Kamera on Location (1958). Taken with one of GHM’s Rolleiflex (F.16/125) with a medium green filter in the golden hour (The hour before sunset) it captures Pam’s glistening body in the setting sun to perfection.  The shape she had her body, the curve of the hip toward the camera and not even looking at the camera all set this shot up and seems so effortless. Truly the golden age of glamour photography I believe!

Lorraine Burnett in Colour (Coloured)

I can’t keep up with the quantity and quality of the coloured images at which Oldiznewagain is churning them out, so cheating and taking the easy option and adding a few in one post to try and catch up!

Two shots of Lorraine Burnett coloured from two of my original posts, with the original after each coloured version.

Kamera Special No.1 (1957)

Kamera on Location (1958)

Both very good coloured versions of the originals, but my favourite is the top one as the colours look more realistic. It’s probably easier to colour a person and the skin tones than an outdoor location, as the sand, rocks and grass in the second look slightly unnatural. I also note that by colouring the images Oldiznewagain loses some of the grain and texture from the original black and white versions, giving the coloured versions a smoother feel. Again, not a criticism, rather an observation, as I know I couldn’t do anywhere as near a good a job as these and leave that to Old!  Restore yes I can do that, colour not on your life!
