June on Glass, Box 1 Plate No.7 – Seated View (Original)

The 7th glass photographic plate of June taken by Leslie Bainbridge in the studio (12th August, 1960). This shot has June sat with her legs out to one side as she plays with her necklace, unfortunately there is a shadow on the right hand side and I’m not sure if that was in the studio at the time or on the glass plate itself. Still a worthy shot of June :)

June Palmer – A Quick Drinks Break! (Original)

We’ve had cigarette’s, now for booze and fast cars! A brilliant shot of June posing for a publicity shot or advert I assume, sat on the back of a vintage car with a glass of wine in hand.

The Grasshopper Inn, which is prominent in the shot still exists today and can be found in Westerham, Kent and is advertised as a privately owned, recently restored, beautiful Tudor building set in the idyllic Kent countryside.  There are many images of the Inn online, but I couldn’t find this particular view, but I’m sure it has changed considerably since then! It is also close to Oxted and I have other shots of June from this same shoot with her sat on the bonnet and roof of the darker vintage car at a crossroads with Oxted on a sign.

The darker car is possibly a Jaguar, as may the white one be, but not 100% sure? A great piece of June Memorabilia that is different from the normal glamour related stuff and a snapshot of things back then.

Update: Thanks to MadMax who sent this message to me – ‘The cars are both Elva Couriers and this looks very like a publicity photoshoot for advertising or brochures. Elva were based in Bexhill, then Hastings so this part of Kent would have been almost on their doorstep.’. Madmax is spot on because if you go to the Elva website there are two colour photo’s taken outside the Grasshopper at the same time as the one above, one even has June in it with the title “Arrive in style and enjoy a glass of ‘warm’ beer and a Babycham for your lady.” – Fantastic and thanks to MadMax.

On further searching I’ve found another shot of June posing in a bikini in a white Elva here, that identifies the car as a 1961 Trojan-built MkIII Elva Courier. I also found ‘Fast Elva Ladies’ Page featuring June in two shots as well here. Which then also led me to this image of June I’d already posted in the now identified car :)

I love stumbling across things like this and all from one image :) More images of June and the Elva to come …

June Palmer – Passport to Smoking Pleasure! (Original)

A brand new shot of June from John W’s collection, showing her enjoying a cigarette in front of the camera. I just love the use of the black background to help capture the smoke in the shot. John also included some quotes from cigarette adverts back in the 1960’s/70’s, such as ‘You’re never alone with a Strand’, ‘Cool as a mountain stream’ and ‘The international passport to smoking pleasure’. I can’t say I remember any of those, as I was far too young, but still funny seeing cigarette’s advertised in such a way, when now you can’t even show the packets in the shop, let alone see an advert on TV!

June Palmer – A Young & Nude Muse (Members)

One for members only, a young June from the late 1950’s sat posing nude for the camera, with a familiarly used black velvet background. I have several shots of June posing in front of this background from her early career and later in the 60’s, but I have no idea where they were taken. Possibly at either Strobe or ScotLee, but no way of really identifying which, unless someone knows?

This shot comes from an original colour 35mm slide that apart from the odd scratch and slight colour fade, was in excellent condition for it’s age.

Connie’s Seaside Splash!

Connie Fielding, dipping her toes in the sea wearing a stunning bikini that’s coming off at the shoulders! It’s actually Eve Eden or Rosa Domaille, but she went under the name Connie Fielding during this period of her career, when most of the shots of her were taken by Ed Alexander. No rude Rosa in these shots’ as they are actually quite tame compared to the many other shots we’ve seen of her under her various names!

June Palmer – Another Tight View!

The second shot in the series of June wearing a pair of tights, whilst posing on some battlements! This one is more of a side view with her and on looking they seem to be a tight pair of leggings, rather than tights, as there are no feet to them! Either way, they cling to her legs and bum rather well, showing off all her curves.

A New Dawn! (Original)

Another Dawn Grayson original, this time from my own collection of negatives of Dawn. This is a scan of a 35mm negative showing Dawn laying on her side on a blue photographic background, with just a hint of one of her small pert boobs on show! Great view of her bum as well :)

[member]I normally share my posts from this site on other social media sites, such as Tumblr, Pinterest etc. to try and gain a wider audience, but today I’ve decided that from now on all original content such as this shot, will only be available here. I’ve also decide to remove the restrictions on saving images, so members can take a personal copy if they so wish. Two reasons for doing this now, all images on the site are now watermarked and only members can see larger than 640 pixel images and save them. So if a larger sized image appears elsewhere from one of my originals, it can only have originated from one place, here and by a member.

Anyway let’s see how things go and all I ask is that you all enjoy the site and respect all of the original images that are shared here for your pleasure. I also have extra large versions of most shots, without watermarks and if members want a copy for a small fee just let me know?

P.S. You actually have to click on the post title and open the individual post to be able to save the image[/member]
