Liza Martelle

Liza Martelle (Dawn Grayson) – We know GHM had a propensity to give his models aliases when they modelled in wigs, such as Rita Landre (Pam Green) and Mary Stephan (Caroline Coon). What I didn’t know is that Dawn Grayson had one as well when modelling in the blonde wig above! Apparently she was known as Liza Martelle, a beautiful strip artist from the crazy horse in Paris.

GHM revealed this in an interview for Fiesta magazine in 1976 called ‘ Harrison Marks Rides Again!’. He also said that she was in London for an appearance and due to his sheer charm and youthful sex appeal he was lucky enough to get her before his camera … and other places!

Well I never! That’s the first time I have come across Liza Martelle and a photo similar to the one above appears with those comments. So, unless there is another Liza Martelle or the photo was wrong, then it’s Dawn Grayson :)

Brides in the Bath – Part 2 (Video)

So as promised part 2 of the full version of ‘Brides in the Bath’.

This film was based loosely around the true life story of serial killer and bigamist George Joseph Smith. I won’t bore you with the details, but if your interested in the real story there is a link here

The story behind this film can be found over on part 1

Highlights of this part, the can-can girls including Jayne Tracey and of course George’s third wife in the shape of June Palmer and another bath scene!

Actresses in this part are listed below, again some I cannot identify, so let me know if you spot any?

George (?)	Can-Can Girl No.1 (?)	Can-Can Girl No.2 (Jayne Tracey)
Can-Can Girl No.3 (?)	Mistress (Same as Can-Can Girl No.3?)	Wife No.3 (June Palmer)

For those wanting to skip through things Jayne Tracey starts at 2:30 minutes and June Palmer at 14 minutes

So I leave you to enjoy part 2 of ‘Brides in the Bath’, which completes this never before seen video from Arthur Howell and featuring June Palmer.

Next… Another never before seen June Palmer video called ‘Triangle’ featuring June as Little Bo-Peep, an image of which can be seen on her Wikipedia page … Here

P.S. If the video fails at any point, do let me know :)

Dawn Gayson – Girls of the World No.1

Five beautiful shots of Dawn Gayson (Dawn Grayson) from Girls of the World No.1 The accompanying text read:

‘We seriously consider that beautiful Dawn Gayson fully earns the title ‘Special Girl of the World’. Not only is she something special, but she has travelled all over the globe. Born in Scandinavia, not far from where these shots were taken, Dawn now lives in London. Her flame-coloured hair can be seen to full advantage on the back cover of this magazine.’ (below)

A bit of creative writing above on the facts, but definitely special!

Brides in The Bath – Part 1 (Video)

So as promised the full version of ‘Brides in the Bath’, well part 1 anyway, as I needed to keep the file size down for hosting!

The story behind this film … Arthur Howell was hired to shoot a musical version of the Brides in the Bath story by someone whose name might have been Moscowicz. The details about who wanted this film are sketchy as the notes made at the time were destroyed in a fire. Fortunately the film itself survived. Harry Roy was to have written the music, but he died before shooting started, but the film was shot silent anyway. As Roy died on 1st February 1971, the film must have been shot at some point after this. Arthur was never paid, so he hung onto the film until he sold it to my contact John W around 1985. He put together the film as best he could, but the film bears very little resemblance to the real story.

So how did I come by this film? I saw a brief clip ‘June The Newlywed’ on YouTube posted by John and mailed him to ask permission to use the short clip being a June Palmer fan. John kindly replied saying I could use the clip and then offered me the full film and the history of the film as described above. Great I thought, an unseen June Palmer film to share, but I nearly fell of my chair when I watched the full version! Not only does it start June Palmer, but a number of other well known models of that time including Teri Martine, Dawn Grayson, Jayne Tracey and others I have as of yet been unable to identify. The highlights for me? The Dawn Grayson & June Palmer bath scenes of course!

George (?)	1st Wife (?)	Waitress/Maid (Teri Martine)
Matron? (?)	Mistress/2nd Wife (Dawn Grayson)

For those wanting to skip through things Teri Martine starts at 7 minutes and Dawn Grayson at 17 minutes

So I leave you to enjoy part 1, with part 2 coming soon! In the meantime can anyone identify the other models or the real name of George? If so please do let me know?

P.S. If the video fails at any point, do let me know :)
