Kim Courtenay: Girl Illustrated (1966)

Having said there are not enough shots out there of Audrey Judson (Kim Courtenay) here is a cracking shot of her from Girl Illustrated, Summer Edition (1966). What I hadn’t noticed in the Harrison Marks shots is that she has freckles and very small nipples, but a wonderfully coy look as well!v

Tracy Reeves: Girl Illustrated Vol.5 No.10 (1971)

A combination of two of my favourites, UK model Tracy Reeves and Girl Illustrated. Tracy appeared within the pages of GI several times, the first being Vol.2 No.22 when she was apparently only 19! A stunning figure, but she seemed a little goofy at times especially when she posed in a short blonde wig! She also posed with other familiar models of the time such as Angela Duncan and Gerry Brown.

Helga Berk – Girl Illustrated Cover (1969)

Helga Berkmann on the cover of Girl Illustrated Vol.3 No.26 (1969), with a different shot from this set also appearing in GI Vol.4 No.39 (1970). Normally I’d have passed this by without a second glance, but she also posed for Harrison Marks and was on my list of unknown Models. I posted this original shot of her back in 2015 from my negative collection and have several others of her as well.

Like many models back then she appeared in numerous publications such as Escort, Fiesta, Carnival, GI and more and all with various alterations to her name. The main name that appears seems to be Helga Berk/Berkmann, but she also appeared as Helga Nolan and Mara Osterman in Mayfair. The shots by GHM and in GI have her wearing a short wig, but it seems her actual hair is slightly longer and blonde.

The Magnificent Three!

I’ve posted several individual shots of the three models Marianne MorrisVenetia Day and Dinah Challen by Terry Sparks on Rhodes, but very few of them all together. So, it’s very nice to find this article in Girl Illustrated Vol.5 No.1 (1971) with them all. They have Marianne down as Viki Pascal, which I knew she modelled as, but Dinah as Linda Rome is a new name to me.

Cheryl Peters – Girl Illustrated Vol.3 No.27 Cover (1969)

Cheryl Peters on the cover of Girl Illustrated Vol.3 No.27 (1969) posing in a very nice sheer black negligee. Girl Illustrated must be one of my favourite vintage magazines outside of Harrison Marks publications. The size and quality of the publication was exceptional, which shows today as copies still look good and go for high prices when up for sale. They were also full some of my favourite 1960’s/70’s models including many that posed for GHM.

Ava Cadell – A Nice Clean Girl! (1974)

A black and white shot of Ava Cadell from Girl Illustrated Vol.6 No.41 (1974). Although not named in the magazine as Ava, she is instantly recognisable in this shot of her in the bath, making sure she’s a good girl and keeping everything clean!

I love Girl Illustrated it’s one of my favourite larger format vintage magazine and loads of models posed for it. Many not using their known names and wearing wigs or other attire to hide their identity for some reason. But every now and then you come across a little gem like this one of Ava.

Big Things Ahead!

A big day in the UK yesterday as I’m sure everyone knows (Unless you were on a remote island somewhere, or is that us now!) Regardless of views, today is a new day with lots of unknowns ahead. What is not unknown is that whatever happens going forward a nice big pair of tits always makes the day seem that much better!

This delicious pair belong to Jackie Maddern from Girl illustrated Vol.5 No.22 (1972) and she has plenty on show to distract you from anything! Anyway onwards and upwards I say and as Corporal Jones would say ‘Don’t Panic Mr Mainwaring!’

Val Van Dotson: Fantastic Name & Body!

I first came across Val in a film by Arthur Howell called ‘Brides in the Bath‘, which I’ve posted over on my Just June Site, as it starred June Palmer plus many other models photographed by Harrison Marks. In that film she went by the name ‘Vanda Vane Dotson’, but also appeared in Spick & Span and Girls Illustrated as ‘Wanda Van Dotson’ (Below)

Other than those few appearances I can find very little about her and even if that was her real name? Real or not it was a cracking name to have as a model and one you don’t easily forget! Saying that she also has a great body in the shots above, but in the film doesn’t get undressed at all, but plays quite a frumpy Matron. I think I prefer her as above :)

20 year old Damien Caye from Girl Illustrated Vol.5 No.5 (1971), who looks familiar but can’t place her! Fantastic figure, cracking smile and nice full bush on view for all to admire.
