Wendy James – On Location 66

Kamera on Location 66 was shot over 2 weeks on location at Bedruthan Beach, Cornwall in the early summer of 1966 (14th May – 28th May).  Harrison Marks used 8 models to pose on and around the beach, which was used because of it’s secluded nature due to poor access.  There were 4 models the first week, which included Teri Martine, Nicky Stevens, Alicen Warden & of course Wendy James

Well I Never Knew That!

There is a very interesting article just published over on the Pamela Green site called ‘More Tea, Vicar?’.  The article itself is about a poster by the British safety council and wearing eye protection, which featured Dawn Grayson.
The bit I didn’t know was the reference to the real name of Dawn Grayson being Kay Kirkham, which was new to me!  I probably have seen references to her real name in the past but never made the association, so there you go … I never knew that!

After doing some further research I came across a second article about this incident from ‘The News & Courier’ dated October 20th, 1964 based in Charleston, USA.  This again refers to Dawn Graysons real name as Kay Kirkham and that she was 22 years old and married with an 11 month old baby.


If this article is to be believed then Dawn/Kay was born in 1942, making her 71 now and her son being born in 1963/64 now aged 48/49.  We also know she was married to a car plant worker.  I don’t know what happened to Dawn beyond her modelling career, but it would be interesting to know what she did in the later part of her life and even if she is still around now?

Rita Landre in Witches Brew

In 1960 Pamela Green and George Harrison started making 16mm and 8mm home glamour films most of which were between 60ft to 100ft long. For these there were often built quite elaborate sets for the films and none more so than the one they produced for Witches Brew, which was filmed at the end of 1960. To make maximum use of the set a series of still photos was also shot (Some above)

The film & photo set features Pam in her Rita Landre guise as a very voluptuous witch who performs various incantations before stripping off and disappearing into thin air. 
 
The same set was used by Harrison Marks to photograph other models and was later transformed slightly to become a dungeon where June Palmer was locked up among other beauties.*
