June Palmer – A Look Of Modesty! (Original)

Good morning and we start today with a JP Original from John.  A younger June this time and posing with a flimsy negligee as if trying to cover herself up and be modest, but failing!  Yet again she has the right look and pose to pull it off.  Restored from the scan sent by John, but the bottom right was too faded out, but don’t think it detracts from the overall shot?

June in the Office (Originals)

Two images from two different photo sets, with different underwear but the same office set, but both originals! The second shot in the tan stockings comes from a set of 6 photo’s from John, who has also dated the set. As he said in his own words ‘The calendar doesn’t give the year, but it does say 1st November and that was a Monday. That happened in 1965 and 1971, so I suspect the latter, as there seems to be an early electronic calculator by the telephone’.  Well spotted and worked out John!

To add to that evidence, June has long hair similar to those shot in this set. I love the office backdrop in these shot’s, but I can’t get the the image of the boss sat at his desk and asking ‘Miss Palmer could you take something down for me please?’ and she certainly does take things down later in the shoot!

June Palmer – Between The Screens!

I’m having a June Palmer sort of day! Something old, something new, a mixture of everything!  This is another great shot of a young June posing between a standing screen, again with the lighting showing off her curves! I have no idea were this came from, but looks to be 1950’s and possibly by Russell Gay for QT or Amber?

June Palmer – Wet & Blue! (Original)

June Palmer with long hair posing in a wet blue dress!  Taken in the 1970’s at ScottLee Studio’s and other shots of June with the same styled long hair would put this shot at 1971.  This comes from a set of six images and love the gold background in the shot.

June Palmer on the Beach – She Walks in Beauty

Although you can find these images of June on the net already individually, they were all published in Harrison Marks 1964 book ‘She Walks in Beauty’. June feature nine times within the book and her appearances were split between posing in various locations on a Cornwall beach and outdoor locations at Ewhurst Manor.

These first three on the beach, show off the familiar JP curves very well indeed, particularly the first and last images.  The middle one looks like she’s spotted something, but I couldn’t come up with a suitable quip?

Very Nice Convertible Joanna!

June Palmer as Joanna Kent posing in a very nice convertible!  The tax disc puts the year at 1969 I think, but can anyone identify the type of car, when you’ve stopped looking at her legs that is!  Love the dress she’s wearing and I’m sure I’ve seen that belt used before.

Triangle Starring June Palmer (Video)

Time for another never before seen June Palmer video, this time starring an older June in a video entitled ‘Triangle’.

The basic story of the this video is a simple one … June is part of an orchestra, but has the unfortunate task of playing the ‘Triangle’, which is limited and boring.  As such she starts to daydream and fall asleep and dreams of sheep jumping through the triangle, followed by her dressed as little bo-peep.  What follows is a chase between her as little bo-peep and little boy blue, where along the way various parts of her clothing fall off (what a surprise!)

Now for some facts:

  • The film was shot by our very own John W at June and Arthur Howells house in South London in the summer of 1978.
  • The film was a competition entry by a federation of film clubs of which John was a member of one. The entry criteria was that the film had to have the title ‘Triangle’.
  • Not only is the film shot by John, but he stars in it along side June in the roles of the symbol player and ‘Little Boy Blue’!
  • The image on June’s wikipedia page (below) is a still taken from this very video.

A simple film, but one that gives you a glimpse of June later in her life through video rather than still images. Finally, it goes without saying that a huge thanks must go to John for allowing me to share this unseen video of June (and himself!)

Enjoy!
