In my original post of this Marie Deveraux photo I suggested that maybe she had been painted in gold body paint or something due to the sheen of her body. Well Oldiznewagain has now done a coloured version and although she’s not gold the image sure looks good and definitely has a golden theme to it.
Ann Austin in Colour (Coloured)
Time for a couple more images originally in black and white, but coloured by Oldiznewagain, this time Ann Austin and her wonderfully curvy figure! As usual the coloured version followed by the original version and I’ve doubled up on the images again :)
The next shot wasn’t one of my originals, but liked it anyway.
Pamela Green in Colour (Coloured)
Another cheating post with two more images coloured by Oldiznewagain, this time Pamela Green with both images from the late 1950’s. One has her with dark hair and the other with long blonde hair, but a wig and not the blonde hair we are so familiar seeing her with in the 1960’s. Coloured version followed by the original :)
Kamera on Location (1957)
Lorraine Burnett in Colour (Coloured)
I can’t keep up with the quantity and quality of the coloured images at which Oldiznewagain is churning them out, so cheating and taking the easy option and adding a few in one post to try and catch up!
Two shots of Lorraine Burnett coloured from two of my original posts, with the original after each coloured version.
Kamera Special No.1 (1957)
Kamera on Location (1958)
Both very good coloured versions of the originals, but my favourite is the top one as the colours look more realistic. It’s probably easier to colour a person and the skin tones than an outdoor location, as the sand, rocks and grass in the second look slightly unnatural. I also note that by colouring the images Oldiznewagain loses some of the grain and texture from the original black and white versions, giving the coloured versions a smoother feel. Again, not a criticism, rather an observation, as I know I couldn’t do anywhere as near a good a job as these and leave that to Old! Restore yes I can do that, colour not on your life!
Ann Austin – A Lovely Pair of Plumped Pillows on The Sofa (Coloured)
It’s time I caught up on some of the great coloured shots from Oldiznewagain as they are stacking up and I know he has more coming! I’ll start with the coloured plumped pillows of Ann Austin and again Oldiznewagain nails the colours for the background :)
The Ever Serene Pamela Green! (Coloured)
It’s been a while, but another great coloured version of one of my scans of Pamela Green from Kamera No.11 by Oldiznewagain. Excellent colouring as always :)
Pamela Green – Only Pearls (Coloured)
Another coloured version of Pamela Green from Oldiznewagain from one of my original posts. Interesting that her went for the ginger/redhead look with this one rather than blonde, which I think she was in the original, but it works! Great effort as always, but maybe a little too bright and could be calmer and the red in the lips looks to have bled or smudge a little too much losing definition. Picky I know :)
Pamela Green by Joan Craven (Coloured)
The original and coloured version by Oldiznewagain of Pamela Green taken by the female photographer Joan Craven, with the mask by costumier Hugh Skillen.
