An early dressed shot of Rita Landre (Pamela Green) from the Carnival Annual (1956) and although all the shots from this annual were in colour, they do seem to be heavily edited, giving them a painted feeling.
Pamela Green – Only Pearls (Coloured)
Another coloured version of Pamela Green from Oldiznewagain from one of my original posts. Interesting that her went for the ginger/redhead look with this one rather than blonde, which I think she was in the original, but it works! Great effort as always, but maybe a little too bright and could be calmer and the red in the lips looks to have bled or smudge a little too much losing definition. Picky I know :)
Pamela Green & The Floral Bikini Bottoms (1950's)
Two early shots of Pamela Green with long blonde locks by Harrison Marks taken from original silver gelatin photographs. These come from an early set of a blonde Pam, but she is wearing a blonde wig in these rather than dying her hair peroxide blonde as she did later in her career. Although none of these shots appear, a similar shot of her in the same wig appears in ‘Pamela’ in 1955.
These are not her as Rita Landre as identified elsewhere, as the wig is very different and not auburn/red. Originally published by Filthy Gorgeous Media (who retain copyright) these were part of the extensive collection of Bob Guccione (Penthouse) photographs collected back when Bob and Harrison Marks collaborated in the late 1950’s for the Gucci Girls, who appeared in the variety magazine ‘Show Business’. They fell out shortly after, but not before Bob seems to have collected a wide range of early GHM photo’s including Pamela Green, Margaret Warhurst, Robyn and other early models.
Some great early Pam shots to enjoy!
Pamela Green by Joan Craven (Coloured)
The original and coloured version by Oldiznewagain of Pamela Green taken by the female photographer Joan Craven, with the mask by costumier Hugh Skillen.
Pamela Green – Amazonian Beauty (Original)
Pamela Green with short dark hair looking more tanned than usual or slightly ‘blacked up’ for this shot. Taken from an original Harrison Marks silver gelatin photo this set features Pam nude with hooped earrings and posing with what looks like a glass orb or ball. Although this shot itself didn’t appear, others from the same set were published in the hardback book ‘Pamela – A Portrait in 58 Studies’ by Harrison Marks in 1955.
Pamela, The Pose & The Rose
An early shot of Pamela Green by Harrison Marks from a set where she is seen in various nude poses with a rose. A rare early shot of her where she had pubic hair that can be clearly seen in this shot and the collars and cuffs match! Taken in the late 1950’s and restored from a scan of a silver gelatin photograph.
An Early Rita Landre?
I spotted this shot over on the tumblr of Honey-Rider (I love that name!) and I’m pretty certain it’s Pamela Green and may even be an early one of her as Rita Landre? I know it’s Pam by the mole just above her bikini line and the figure and face, whatever the wig are so recognisable. I’d put it at late 1950’s by Harrison Marks, but no idea if it was ever published anywhere as I’d not seen it before. Cracking shot though :)
Pamela The Blond Bombshell
If you’d not guessed I’m having a Pamela day and the different aliases that she posed under or hair colours she used. Here we have probably the most familiar and iconic view of Pam with her long blonde hair that she was more synonymous with later in her career. A beautiful view of her blonde locks and figure in this show on the witches coven set from ‘Just Pamela Green’.
Rita in Pigtails!
Possibly Pamela Green as Rita Landre, but a very early shot if it is and maybe not the normal red wig that was later associated with Rita Landre, but the look and make-up are similar for Rita. Taken from the pages of Kamera Special No.1 (1957) and a great pose and love the little bows all over the panties :)
