Cheese Cake Favourite – Gina Graham

Gina (Tina) Graham or Christine Carter from the centre pages of Parade No.1196 (Week-ending Saturday 10th November, 1962).

Anyone that has ever owned or handled a copy of Parade Magazine will know how flimsy the magazine is and the paper it was printed on!  The Centrefolds always tend to be missing or very poor quality, but this one was stunning! The whole magazine is in very good condition for 51 years old and has retained it’s colour extremely well!

The above has been stitched together and staple marks removed, but other than that it’s pretty much as it looks in the magazine.

This shot doesn’t really do it justice, but a larger version can be seen … here

June Palmer – Expert at Squeezing!

June Palmer from the ‘Cocktail’ page of Parade No.1194 (27th October, 1962), which again confirms she was a proficient accordion player, amongst other things!  A direct scan from the actual magazine, purchased with 16 other editions of Parade from 1962/63 last week :)

Parade No.1481 Front & Back Covers

I recently acquired another great vintage magazine going by the name of Parade.  Parade was a long running British “Mens Magazine” format published weekly.  It was not a glossy paper type glamour magazine, which makes it hard to find well preserved copies of a magazine that is over 40 years old! It had limited “pin-up” material when it started and featured a variety of features such as sports, film, current issues, jokes, letters and of course the pin-up girls.
In the 1960’s Parade featured a colour glamour girl centre page pin-up (often topless and often missing from the magazines now) and a double page, two colour type such as blue and black / yellow and black glamour girl feature, plus lots of innocent type pin-ups throughout the magazine.
