Magnificent Monique


A recent addition to my negative collection of Monique Devereaux and one of my favourite shots of her. Sometimes less is more and that is certainly the case with this shot. Taken by Harrison Marks we see Monique posing on the Arabian Set laying on a sheepskin rug in jewellery and fancy headdress. A great view of figure as she lays there and a cheeky view of her bum but not much else, but it works.

Loving the whole composition of the shot and the look on her face and sometimes you don’t need to see everything to enjoy a naked woman 🙂

Gill Evans – Reach For The Sky!

Another quirky shot of Gill Evans having a stretch down at the beach in 1966. Taken by Harrison Marks in the summer of 1966 on his two-week trip with his models to Bedruthan in Cornwall.

She actually looks like she’s doing star jumps or some form or exercise on the beach. It sure gives us a good view of her body and smooth pussy, that’s for sure. It also reminds me to try to be a bit more active now and get some fresh air, rather than sit at my desk all day. 🙂

A Sandy Day!

Venetia Day covered in sand as she poses naked on a beach in Rhodes for Terry Sparks in 1971. A great shot of Venetia with her arms flung back and wearing that large bead necklace that Terry preferred and as worn by Vicki Pascale and others that posed for him. Another sunny shot, and I’d have offered to rub that sand off her if needed. 🙂

June Palmer – Mounds in the Sand!

A young June Palmer from the late 1950s or early 60s from an original negative scan sent over by John W. I loved this shot because it was just different with her sat there on a beach buried in the sand topless.

As a boy growing up, how many times on holiday did you dig a big hole on the beach, jump in and then get someone to bury you up to your knees of higher in the sand? I know I did on many occasions, but I can quite safely say I never saw anyone as good as June buried like this in the sand on any beach I visited, so I was obviously visiting the wrong beaches. 🙂

I think June is just sat on the beach with sand just over her legs rather than in a hole, but regardless it’s still a fabulous shot of her in the sand showing off that body and perfect tits! Not only that, but I love the look on her face in the shot as well, as she has a look to her, probably wondering what happens next. 🙂

H is For Harrison Marks (Xmas Calendar)

The man himself Harrison Marks! Photographed here on location in 1958 with Pamela Green (dark wig) and Marie Deveraux (blonde wig). A typical shot of GHM with camera in hand and a cigarette not too far away! Taken on the Scilly Isles, this shot of Harrison Marks and two of his most popular models appeared in his hardback book Kamera on Location P8 (1958).

Elaine’s Sandy Bottom!

Elaine Desmond, posing for Harrison Marks as she kneels on her hands and knees naked in the sand. Taken from an original medium format negative down on a beach, probably on location in Cornwall in the mid 1960s. A fabulous pose by Elaine, but she does seem to have a bit of a sandy bottom!

Marie Deveraux – Black or Blonde? (1958)

Two different shots of Marie Deveraux from the 1958 hardback publication ‘Kamera on Location’ by Harrison Marks. Both taken on location in and around the Isles of Scilly and show Marie posing nude apart from a scarf and different coloured hair! I assume the blonde shot is a wig as Marie was naturally dark, but can’t quite make up my mind which look I prefer, black or blonde?

Jackie Salt – Dreaming of Sunny Days! (Original)

I don’t know why but this rear view shot of Jackie Salt taken by Harrison Marks down in the shallows on Bedruthan Beach in Cornwall really appeals to me for some reason. Mind you she does have a very nice bottom that makes the mind wander and think of things one could do with her on a sunny secluded beach like that!

Taken in 1961, this original negative seems to have been taken during the filming of ‘Naked as Natured Intended’ and a reversed copy of this shot appears here on a lobby card advertising the film itself. Bedruthan beach in Cornwall was and still is a bugger to get to, due to it’s secluded location and 100’s of worn dodgy steps to get down to it. No wonder GHM chose it for several of his location shoots including this one.

Dreaming of sunny days on a secluded beach with Jackie and why not on a cold winters day 🙂

Something to brighten us all up as we head back to work! The second and last shot of Jeanette Marsden by Terry Sparks taken on a beach in Crete in 1972. And what a way to perk us all up than with a gorgeous tanned nude with a hint of bush, kneeling on a sunny beach 🙂

Rita Landre – Upfront & Sandy (1958)

A very sandy view of Rita (Pamela Green) from Kamera on Location P38 (1958) It looks a bit like a sand bikini, the way the sand has stopped in a perfect line across her boobs, not that I’m complaining 🙂
