Just Georgina!

Everyone sees an image differently, and scanning and editing original negatives is no different. What I think works with contrast, colours and sharpness may not be to everyone’s taste, but that’s why we’re all different! This image is a good example, as it came from an original scan of a negative using a wet scan, which uses fluid on a flat scanner to remove scratches and imperfections from the image (go look it up!). I then took it and enhanced the colours, focus, and crop to give the results above, not a bad effort I would say!

The image itself, it’s taken by Harrison Marks and the mode is known as Georgina or Georgina Michele.

A Quick Dip With Gill

Gill Evans having a quick dip in a rock pool down at the beach in 1966. Taken by Harrison Marks in the summer of 1966 at Bedruthan in Cornwall. Gill was a model from the second week of the trip and seemed to enjoy being in the water, as she is photographed in the sea, rock pools and a river in various shots throughout Kamera on Location 66.

Incidentally, I’m heading down to Cornwall next week, so may just have a visit ot Bedruthan, although the steps down are closed now limiting access.

Monique’s Mound!

Monique Devereux by Harrison Marks laying back on silk sheets showing off her magnificent body and hairy mound! A different shot of Monique as she’s wearing a wig, and it may well be from one of her glamour films by GHM, but unknown to me?

Sally Dixon: Beach Ball Beauty!

A beautiful shot of Sally Dixon from a restored 35 mm colour slide from the 1960s and taken at Jason Studios. A great side view of her figure, but not too sure about the semi deflated beach ball!

Terry’s Treasures: Carolyn Baine

A first appearance and new model from the archives of Terry Sparks. The gorgeous Carolyn Baine posing topless in jeans on a black background. Taken by Terry in 1978, this set of images of Carolyn features her posing in various outfits, but only topless.

A stunning shot with a light from behind highlighting her hair, and it reminds me very much of the Page 3 shots you used to get in the Sun newspaper in the 70s and 80s.

Frankie Young: A Little Light Adjustment

An uplifting shot of Frankie Young as she leans up to adjust the round paper lamp shade that was popular back then, I think I even had one, lampshade, not Frankie! Taken by Russell Gay, this shot was reprinted in the 1960s Glamour book on page 256 and shows off Frankie s figure perfectly, even if it could have been a little wider shot showing a bit more of her. :)

Colleen White: Boots & Bush!

The first post of Colleen White by Terry Sparks, taken in the 1970s from a large collection of images of Colleen. I love her goofy smile as she poses bent over the chair in nothing but those white boots. The pose also gives us a view of a lot more of her as well!

Julie Parpon

Three views of a very cute Julie Parpon taken by Howard Roark in the 1970s. She has a great, slender figure with a set of small perky tits on show. Unfortunately, we don’t get to see much more than this in the other images I have. She seems to be a bit shy in front of the camera and always putting her hands in the way to protect her modesty.

Marvellous Maureen in Red

A small set of 35 mm colour slides of Maureen Stokes (Stocks) posing in red underwear and stockings. I have a growing collection of Maureen, and she’s one of my new obsessions! Which is different to my other obsessions, as I tend to be drawn towards curvy models with larger assets, so Maureen is the complete opposite. But it’s always nice to have some variety. ;)

Thanks to Johnathan from Vintage Fetish/Brazenbooks for this fabulous set, along with many others. Both of his sites are in the Site Supporters menu, so do go have a look at his wide range of eBooks, slides and other glamour related items. We’ve supported each other for several years now with our sites, and it’s always a pleasure to catch up with him to talk shop.

Ebony Glass Cutters!

An unknown ebony model with nipples that look like they could cut glass! Two shots sent over by Whyriley from his collection of models that visited his studio back in the 1960s and 70s of an unknown amateur model. Unfortunately, he doesn’t have many more details, other than she was brought down by one of the photographers that used his studio. He only took a few shots to put her in the model album but doesn’t have a name, but remembers she came to the studio in the early seventies.
