Not a familiar model and one that falls into my normal scope of models, but when I saw this shot I had to publish it. Lisa Peterson and her perky little breasts from ‘Ed Alexander Photographs English Beauties’. Ed apparently shot Lisa for a photo set to appear in Cavalier Magazine and there is a whole article with images of her in his book. A stunning English Beauty!
Marie Deveraux – Film & Figure Cover
Marie Deveraux on the cover of Film & Figure Magazine No.9 by Parliament Publications (Late 1960’s). What is interesting about this shot is that it looks like a Harrison Marks shot, as she wore that blonde wig and scarf on this 1957 shoot. This is the first decent colour shot from the shoot I’ve actually seen!
More Laid Back Loveliness With Paula Page
Another shot of Paula Page by Harrison Marks from this set, which has Paula leaning back naked against a large curved wall. It’s also noticeable in both shots that she shaved her pubic region at the time and you can see just a peak more than normally allowed.
Elaine Desmond – Etudes No.7 Cover
Elaine Desmond sporting a wicker hat on the cover of Etudes Plastique Album No.7 (1955) by Belorgey and Roland Carre. A wonderful 32 page French magazine, but unfortunately the only recognisable model is Elaine on the cover, the rest although very nice are unknown French/European models.
I must say that for a 59 year old magazine it is in exceptional condition, as these magazines have detachable covers similar to a dust jacket. That means the magazine inside is nearly perfect condition with no wear to the page edges of discolouration. It came as part of a bundle of magazines I aquired and rather than putting it to one side to gather dust I thought I’d have a go at selling it on eBay. Take a look if interested, but in the meantime enjoy the cover :)
In The Garden With Monique
Monique Deveraux posing in the long dressing gown that she wore several times and was a well used prop with GHM. This was from the pages of Nature’s Intention Vol.1 No.1 ‘Harrison Marks – A Series of Natural Art Studies’ (1969) ans shows Monique in all her glory! Takne in the grounds of Ewhurst Manor by with the small square pond in the background.
A Surreal Surrounding For Lorraine Burnett
Lorraine Burnett from a set of photographs that appear in the pages of Karama No.1. Lorraine appears in this set totally nude posing forwards and from behind, but what intrigues me more is the surreal background. From what I can tell it seems to be square sheets of tin foil with a smaller squared pattern randomly stuck to the wall behind her! Very surreal and distracting, but not that distracting from the main subject :)
