A Rocky Path For June!

On the rocks with June Palmer on holiday in the 1960s. Taken by Arthur Howell, we get a great view of June’s body and figure as she tiptoes down to the sea edge.

Not Your Typical Coffee Table Books!

A couple of the deliveries this week, but some books rather than prints or negatives. The books in question were both published by Taschen and featured the work of Serge Jacques, so not your typical coffee table books you could leave out for guests to flick through!

The first book was titled Icons with the orange cover and featured 190 pages of Jacques work, with many of them typical front and rear shots, as shown below. There’s a small introduction about his life and work and how he pushed the boundaries of uncensored glamour shots.

The second book, which I believe was the earlier book of the two, was much bigger at 766 pages. The cover is the same as the first book, but not as arty. The spine also features a great shot of Margaret Nolan. The book is split into several sections featuring Jacques work on Folies De Paris Et De Hollywood, at the studio, downtown and in the country. But all the photo’s have the signature Serge Jacques style of naturally uncensored shots. His groundbreaking nudes in the 1950s were often deemed obscene because he revealed his models’ pubic hair. He faced countless arrests, blacklists, and regular raids on his studio and darkroom.

Two great books full of uncensored open legged shots, but the small one does duplicate a lot from he bigger book. There are also some surprises, like shots of Ann Austin, June Palmer and other GHM models that posed for Jacques.

Incidentally, I also have an original black and white uncensored print of the model that poses on the covers. I’ll have to post at some point. ;)

Suki’s Stripy Set

A set of five 35 mm black and white negatives of a model only known as Suki. Taken at Criertion studio’s in 1979 of her posing in a popular rattan type basket chair.

Suki looks fabulous in her pulled up striped socks and scarf, all highlighting her body and hairy pussy as she sits with her legs crossed but open enough to tease. Another model I’ve not come across before other than this set, but one I rather like. :)

Angela Jones: Sheer Shades!

A beautifully restored 10 by 8 print of Angela Jones at Ewhurst Manor. Angela looks glorious sat out at Ewhurst in her shades and stockings perched on that white wrought iron bench. Printed on the back of this original print are details of where this image was published. It seems to have been heading for Black Nylons Vol.1 No.10 in a tighter cropped version than this. :)

Erica: An Oiled, Curvy Goddess! (1959)

This slicked up shot of a glistening body is of Erica as if you needed to guess and comes from Kamera No.20 P32 (1959). As I’ve said before, it seems that Harrison Marks had a thing for Erica oiled up, as I’ve seen more or Erica with oil on her body than not. Just an observation, as what’s not to like about seeing Erica or her body at least and those oiled curves!

Lena Ellis: A Petite Pose

The Petite framed Lena Ellis posing in the studio from a restored 35 mm slide. Unfortunately this was originally a colour slide, but the colours were very badly degraded, and I was unable to recover them, so a quick conversion to black and white, and we still have a great shot of Lena to share. Lena was one of those mid-sixties models that was on the slender side, not big in the bosom department, but a nice small perky pair all the same.

Christina by Harrison Marks

The model known only as Christina from a scan of an original negative by Harrison Marks. Very little is known about Christina, other than there were just four photographs of Christina published, two in Kamera No.51 and two from the same shoot in No.61, plus one GHM glamour Film, No.41: ‘Christina’ (1964). All seem to have been taken at GHM’s flat, with half inside (No.51) and half outside on the balcony (No.61). To date I have 3 negatives of Christina all on the balcony, one published in No.61, but the other two including this one as far as I know were never published.

Bea Bea's Stunning Outlook!

Bea Bea Chu-Chu taken by Harrison Marks in one of the bay windows at his flat in 1969. A fabulous view of both Bea Bea’s figure and out the window, but I know which I prefer to look at. She does have rather a larger pair of tits on her, not Paula Page large but still large. Though I don’t think they stand out as much because they still look in proportion with the rest of her curvy figure, plus there’s not a lot of sag in this pair! Great figure and hips, as well as the natural look below, although not overly hairy compared to some!

Sally Dixon – A Top View Tease!

A beautiful profile view of a topless Sally Dixon from an original 35 mm colour Kodak slide. This comes from a small set of slides of Sally posing in front of a bamboo room divider, in and out of a front opening blue summer dress!

Jill in Colour!

A beautiful colour shot of the model named as Jill by Harrison Marks. Taken on a sofa in GHM’s flat, it’s a great pose from Jill and I love the red sheer négligée off the shoulders showing Jill’s figure. Always good to see a colour shot, which adds more depth to a shot sometimes.
