Peggy Winters – 1950’s Classic Nude

Not one of my normal models to post, but a shot that again just appeals because of the very 1950’s feel to the shot. Peggy has a stunning body for all to see, with a very classic 1950’s hairstyle, but for some reason I shouldn’t expect to see her naked, but dressed very 1950’s style or as a Wren? Thanks to Kevin for sending over this fab shot of Peggy :)

Pamela & Marie – Opposite Views (1958)


Pamela Green and Marie Deveraux posing amongst the dunes in 1958 from Kamera on Location P61. What is quite interesting is that the two of them appear to have opposite coloured wigs on from their normal hair! Marie with a blonde wig when she was dark at this time, and Pam with a dark wig when she was blonde, plus the addition of the mandatory scarf!

Rosa’s Wall Top Tease! (Original)

A fabulous early shot of Rosa Domaille (Eve Eden) from a restored silver gelatin print sent over by Tom from Girlymags. I’ve seen several of this set of Rosa posing on this wall, but not as good quality as this, as it needed very little restoring. I have no idea who took these shots, but the obvious studio set and background do remind of the style found in the early QT magazines by Russell Gay?

Thanks to Tom for the image and several others he has sent over and do go take a look at his eBay Store, as he has a large listing of vintage prints including the above Rosa shot and several from Harrison Marks prints, plus other well known models. In fact I noticed a small set of prints of a well known Harrison Marks model that’s not been named going for a very cheap bid at the moment, so may just have to go put a bid in myself! He also mentioned that International bidders get a reduced postage cost of  7 for as many small photos as they can win :)

A Young June Wilkinson Nude (Original)

A restored print of a young June Wilkinson posing nude. This again comes from a collection of scanned original photo’s sent over by Ian one of my members. They were found by a friend of Ian’s in the eaves of his garage, when he was having a clear out from previous owner. This print was damaged in places by damp but are still a valuable archive and as you can see from above still good enough to be restored.

Julie’s Big Dangly Ones! (Original)

Another Harrison Marks model that seems to favour big dangly ones (Earrings) is Julie Shearing, as seen in this original print of her from Oxxbridge again. A different angled shot this time, as she leans back against the flora wallpaper giving us a side profile of her earrings and body. What is also visible are the streaks in her hair, that she seems to favour in most shots I’ve seen of her. They look good, but tend to make her look older than she was and give her a Cruella de Vil type of look, but not so obvious!

Unknown Beauty in Pearls (1950’s)

A stunning shot of a 1950’s beauty posing in a living room in just her matching pearl earrings and necklace, with just black high heels on. A very classy, but for some reason sexy shot and as you can see there is a theme to today’s posts! Thanks to Oxxbridge Galleries I have a set of 9 prints of this beauty posing in her pearls and it must have been at Christmas as one shot is of her like this next to a Christmas tree!

A very classic 1950’s hairstyle as well, but love her whole look and figure, all enhanced by the pearls and is it me or does she resemble Lucille Ball a little bit?

Update: Thanks to Phil who has potentially identified this model as Geri/Jeri Archer who was a model and actress in the 50’s and 60’s and appeared on The Phil Silvers show (Sgt Bilko). I don’t think we are 100% convinced this is her, more like 50/50, but the nose and stature are similar?

Virginia Green – When All You Need Is Earrings! (1950’s)

She me be naked or topless, but Virginia Green has a cracking pair of earrings on, so that makes everything OK :) and to be honest it works! Back in the 1950s and 60s the models just seemed to look that bit more elegant or classy as they posed naked with their gloves or jewels on than they do today.

I love this shot of Virginia, as it looks as though she’s been out for the evening and then just stripped off leaving her hair up and earrings in place, and why not :)
