A Right Knees-Up With Thelma

A restored print of Thelma, posing with one knee up! I don’t recall seeing this image of Thelma appearing in Kamera itself, but a fab shot of her regardless. It appears to be in the living room of GHM’s flat, as we can see that familiar diamond wallpaper on the walls again!

Rita’s Little Leather Look! (1958)

Pamela Green as Rita Landre posing in open blouse and short leather skirt from Kamera Special No.2 P51 (1958). A shot from this set of photo’s it features Rita in a short (red) leather skirt, open blouse and a bejewelled cross necklace.

Nancy Roberts – A Walk on The Wild Side!

OK, more like a crawl, but I love this shot of Nancy Roberts kneeling on all fours in the grass, especially the look on her face! A very ‘You want it? Come and get it’ look as she poses like that.

Another from the set of Nancy taken in the grounds of Sheplegh Court in 1959, when she was a mere 20 years old! Looking at the details on the box of these glass plates I now recognise the handwriting as that of Leslie L. Bainbridge, editor of H&E (Health & Efficiency) magazine and then Girl Illustrated. Who also took a set of shots I’ve been posting of Lee Southern as well.

Rita Landre – Nothing But Fur! (1959)

Pamela Green, posing as Rita Landre with nothing but a white fur coat for cover! Taken by Harrison Marks and published in the 1959 hardback book, P54 ‘Pamela – A Portrait in 58 Studies’, a beautiful shot of Rita with a quizzical look on her face.

Vanda Hudson was an Actress/Model/Singer (1937-2004) that had small parts in a number of British movies in the 1950’s and 60’s. She appeared in a set of Pamar Colour Slides (1959), of which this is a scan of one of the slides, plus appearing twice in the 1959 Kamera Calendar. She appeared on the January page in a shot similar to above on the spotted background and the November page, with a fur stole and red background. It’s not known if she posed or appeared for Harrison Marks other than these times.

Pam’s All Choked Up!

An early shot of Pamela Green from the late 1950’s posing nude in just a pearl choker necklace from a restored silver gelatin photograph and from the same set as this shot.

Just Jennifer (1959)

Jennifer Garland by Harrison Marks from the colour centre pages of Kamera No.20 P16 (1959). I don’t know if it’s just the colours used, but a lot of the colour shots of Jennifer seem to have her with very pink/red nipples or maybe that was a trait of her skin tone, if she was a true redhead? A great classical shot of Jennifer from an early Kamera.

June Palmer – A Young & Nude Muse (Members)

One for members only, a young June from the late 1950’s sat posing nude for the camera, with a familiarly used black velvet background. I have several shots of June posing in front of this background from her early career and later in the 60’s, but I have no idea where they were taken. Possibly at either Strobe or ScotLee, but no way of really identifying which, unless someone knows?

This shot comes from an original colour 35mm slide that apart from the odd scratch and slight colour fade, was in excellent condition for it’s age.
