Jackie Parker – Kamera No.40

I’ve been staring at this images for weeks (apart from the obvious reasons to stare!) as the model looked so familiar, but I couldn’t put a name to the face and figure! Then yesterday whilst editing the Lorraine Burnett and JP set it came to me … It’s Jackie Parker!

Now I’ve seen several sets where she has posed with Lorraine Burnett, but I didn’t know until now that she had actually posed for GHM and appeared in Kamera?  This is one of two shots of her that appear in Kamera No.40 (1962), but did she appear in any others? I suppose I shouldn’t be surprised that she posed for GHM, as the models of that time seemed to have done the rounds with all the popular photographers.  What does surprise me is that there is no reference to her as modelling for GHM, but if these are the only two images he published then like me she may have been missed!

Elaine Desmond – The Perfect Pick Me Up!

A luscious looking Elaine Desmond with a cup of coffee, the perfect pick me up for a cold morning.  Not sure about the yellow shag-pile carpet though and looking at those nips (as I do!) she looks a little cold too!  Anyone know where this image was published?

Xmas Cracker – Mary Stephan

The same festive set and location as yesterday, but this time the Xmas Cracker is Mary Stephan, otherwise known as Caroline Coon in a blonde wig!

This one comes from Nature’s Intention Vol.1 No.1 ‘HM – A Series of Natural Art Studies’, which I absolutely love as it’s just full of GHM models showing off their full natural bushes! Maybe that’s why it’s called Natural Art!  you can see all the images I’ve published from this series so far … Here

DIY With Lorraine Burnett & Jackie Parker

Lorraine Burnett and Jackie Parker wearing some very dodgy wigs doing a bit of DIY.  I’m not quite sure what’s going on in these shots, but I do approve of the attire they are wearing to decorate in! The last shot is obviously them relaxing after a hard day working by the fire with a book and cigarette!

June Palmer – Bulletin Cover

June Palmer on the cover of National Bulletin Vol.7 No.31 (January 6th, 1969). Not too sure about the sensational headlines, but nothing different to what you would see on the tabloids today or magazines like ‘OK’.
