Ann Austin – A Witches Brew! (Original)

There was some debate going on over the image I posted of the Avec Plaisir No.5 cover and if the model was actually Ann Austin. I wasn’t aware there was any doubt, as I immediately recognized it as Ann, but to confirm, here is the original 35 mm Pamar slide of the same shot sent over by Kevin. I’ve also had it confirmed, by an avid Ann collector, that it is indeed Ann. The only outstanding question being why is this the only shot we’ve found of Ann posing with this glass, and where are the other shots, if there are any?

One thing that no one seems to know, though, is what happened to Ann, as she seems to have disappeared after her modelling career and is she still with us today? Anyone else know?

A Cheeky One From June Wilkinson

June Wilkinson posed nude kneeling on a chair from a set of 5½  by 3½ glossy prints of June by Harrison Marks. These were advertised in ‘The Harrison Marks Glamour Guide’ under set No.358 and cost the princely sum of ten shillings per set, but worth every penny, I would say!

A Sheer View! (Original)

When I saw this shot from Kevin there was something about it that I just liked! I don’t know if it was the fishnets or the white sheer panties giving you a view of her natural look below or both, but it just appealed. An unknown model to me from the 1960’s, but could be British?

Update: Thanks to Arty for reminding me that this model has been identified as UK model Sharon Roberts (AKA Seva Stromer) and Sharon appeared in numerous men’s magazines both abroad and in America from the late 1960’s through the mid 1970’s.

In Focus by Harrison Marks

‘In Focus’ was another Kamera style pocketbook that Kamera Publications launched in 1957. As far as I can ascertain there were 21 issues produced, with the final issue being published sometime in 1964. The content and images used are again very similar to that of Kamera, with photo’s taken of the models used across both publications. There are a lot of well known models used, including early Pamela Green/Rita Landre shots, but also a few more unknown models appearing.

Listed below are covers of all editions that I currently have in my collection (Thanks to Firebird London), but you will notice that No.1, No.16 and No.19 are missing, so if anyone has a decent large copy of those I’d appreciate a copy? You will also notice some familiar models and figures appearing on the covers and I can name all but a few. So, again if anyone knows who the models are on No.8, 10, 12, 17 and No.20 please do let me know.

Sliding with Erica (1959)

Erica sliding or leaning against a curved slope from Solo No.9 P29 (1959) by Harrison Marks. It looks like the baby oil may have been out and used again, as she seems to be having trouble staying on that slope!
