Lynn Shaw – A Leafy Outlook

Lynn (Lyn) Shaw from the inside cover of Carnival Annual (1956) photographed by Russell Gay. Lynn always looks so elegant in the shots I’ve seen and published of her and this is no different, although the strategically placed leaves over her nipples gave me a chuckle.

Margaret Nolan Branching Out!

Margaret Nolan from the centre pages of Glamorous Girls No.2, with the same image appearing in one of the later editions of Kamera that Margaret appeared in, sometime after No.50. Although the pose looks good I’m sure it wasn’t easy to stay balanced like that on that branch for long! No splinters anywhere delicate one hopes.

Gloria Lomax & The Transparent Negligee

Gloria Lomax or Donna Ambrose, whichever you prefer to call her posing next to a very ornate bottle that I’m sure I’ve seen Jackie Parker pose with as well. What was the point of the negligee other than the photographer can say she’s not nude, but she might as well be it’s so transparent! There’s even a hint of pussy showing, which for this type of shot usually found in QT by Russell Gay was quite daring. Still a wonderful shot of Gloria whatever way you look at it.

Anna Verdi: Eating Her Way to Stardom


Anna Verdi in Tri-colour from the pages of Parade Magazine No.1311 (23rd January 1965). Thanks to Portland for sending these images through and as he points out these look to be taken indoors at Ewhurst and she’s wearing the same watch as my previous two images, so potentially from the same time? I’ve got a bit of a thing for Anna at the moment so on the hunt for any other good images of her if anyone has some?

The Perfect Pamela Pose! (Original)

Just when you thought seen everything, something else pops in to your mailbox that makes you stop and stare and this was one of those images. A fantastic image of Pamela Green in a perfect pose, perched on a column by Harrison Marks one assumes.

Thanks to Simon for sending it through and adding some context around the image as it’s one I’ve never come across. It was used on a single image calendar back in the 1950’s (1957 I think), the type that had a company’s name branded on it. I saw a few of these on eBay some months back and they appeared to be banner size and quite long, with the branding at the top and the calendar part below the image. Very rare and they went for more than I could afford! Anyone seen or know of any other of these type of calendars, not just Pamela?

Still an absolutely stunning image of Pam and as a redhead and not Rita. It seems she went through a redhead phase in the late 1950’s as I’m finding more and more of her as a redhead with both short and long hair.

Erica's Bust

A great busty pose from the Germanic Erica by Harrison Marks.  Great lighting and pose in this shot and GHM seemed to favour Erica in these type of shots oiled, or it’s just the way the light reflects of her skin. For reference this shot was originally published on page 34 of Kamera No.87 (1968), but taken much earlier as she originally posed for him in the late 1950’s and early 60’s.

Teri Martine as Cleo Kane (Original)

Teri Martine posing in a very nice black bikini and heels, wearing a short dark wig. I’ve seen other shots out there from Teri where she refers to herself as Cleo Kane when wearing this wig and those shots were taken by Arthur Howell at Strobe in the 1960’s.

Zigrinda in Colour

A shot of the very sullen Zigrinda this time without the fuzzy hat, but showing some fuzz of her own! Unknown publication, but based on the image from Kamera No.87 I would say it was taken at the same location due to the gaudy background and taken by Harrison Marks.

I think the harsh fringe doesn’t help her expression, but maybe it was a wig as the collar and cuffs don’t match ;)

Barbara Halks

I love the sultry look of Barbara Halks in this image, which seems to be taken on  the set of ‘Eastern Exchange’. Barbara appeared in Kamera No.84, No.85 (cover), No.86, No.87 and Solo No.57. She also appeared in 3 glamour films, ‘Eastern Exchange, ‘Sitting Pretty’ with Nicky Stevens and finally ‘Go Go Girl’ and finally appeared in the pages of the Kamera Calendar 1969.

This beautiful uncensored shot of her appeared in Nature’s Intention Vol.1 No.2 (1969).
