Another couple of shots of Vera Day from the 1962 book ‘Vera’ by Harrison Marks. This time revealing more of herself than normal on that sheepskin rug again!
Dedicated to the published work of Harrison Marks & other prominent photographers of the 1950's, 60's and early 70's. Along with popular glamour models such as June Palmer, Pamela Green, Dawn Grayson and others

Funny she doesn't mention her earlier modelling work and this book with GHM ;)

Ladies taking their clothes off in the 1940's. 50's and early 1960's didn't garner much respect and I believe it was one of the main reasons that they did under another name or alias. Maybe its a part of her life she deliberately wants to distance herself from

I assume you are aware she had a part in Lock Stock and Two Smoking Barells

I wasn't and that's one of my favourite films! I don't need an excuse to watch it again, but I'll have to now to see if I can spot her!

Your probably right, but when you look at the 'Vera' book now it's so tame and even tastely done by GHM, as most isn't even nude. Those that embraced the modelling like Pamela Green, June Palmer etc seemed to have been open and proud of what they were doing and achieved. It seems the others that went on to other careers, especially in film tend to forget how it started for them.
