I published this same image back when I started this site, but thought it was worth a revisit as I have a larger and better version! A number of the four poster bed shots appeared in Kamera No.66 (1965), but I don’t recall seeing this colour image as being amongst them.

Another Ewhurst interior shot presumably taken at the same session which produced the HM film “The Four Poster” (circa 1964, but which might have actually been shot somewhat earlier). It's tempting to think that the bed is part of the original fixtures and fittings of Ewhurst – unlike the reproduction Goya on the wall! What a sad loss its demolition was, even discounting its latter day fame.Alexei

Thanks Alexei I tend to forget that some of these earlier shots were on location rather than in the studio.
