Kamera Backstage Billboard Flyer

I love this page at the front of Kamera Backstage that looks like a like a bill poster, along with the image of Mary Deighan having a smoke and reading the paper in the side wings pretending to relax. A lot of effort seems to have gone into the creation and production of this Kamera Special and it was my first introduction to Harrison Marks and Pamela Green, so very glad I have a copy now :)

More Oiled Up Robyn

Another early Harrison Marks shot from the 1950’s of model Robyn. This time an excellent side profile of her oiled body from an original silver gelatin photograph. Stunning body and a very 1950’s hairstyle if you get past the rest of her body :)

Jean Spaul – Bill Poster Pose!

Jean Spaul posing against some bill posters for a shot for Kamera Backstage (1959). Looking very glamorous and made up in this shot with thick black eyelashes and perfect lipstick, very 1950’s!

Pamela Green – Just Her Dancing Shoes!

A young Pamela Green with short dark hair posing in a ballet pose in just her ballet shoes. This appeared in Grace and Beauty No.2 (1950’s). Poor quality image, but the magazine itself wasn’t in good shape, not surprising for over 60 years old!

Pamela & June – A Laid Back Approach to Posing

Pamela Green and a reclining June Simpson from the back page of Kamera No.17 (1959). I love it when I find an image of these two posing together as they must be two of my favourite blonde models from the late 1950’s! Problem is there weren’t that many of them together, very similar to Pam and Marie Deveraux posing together.

The Man & His Muse

The man himself, Harrison Marks with Jennifer Garland from the opening page of Kamera Backstage (1959). There are numerous shots of the GHM taking photo’s of all the lovely models that worked for him, but I tended to focus on the models rather than GHM for some reason. This shot as he says himself in the editorial has him looking rather sinister, but it’s a good one and includes Jennifer, so why not!

Della Fox – Yes Sir!

Della Fox on the cover of Sir No.3 (Late 1950’s?) in some very colourful blue sheer panties and contrasting red suspender belt. Another model that changed her hair colour as often as her knickers, I’ve seen her blonde, dark and now red!
