Another shot of Lee Southern/Sothern (Grace Jackson) taken on a photographic glass plate in 1960. The location of this one seems to be in the grounds of Sheplegh Court in Devon, as I have other shots of her showing more of the grounds. This set has Lee posing in a more natural state as we get a clear view of her thick dark bush in this shot as she poses out and about. I also love the matching leopardskin scarf and shawl that doubles up as a rug for her to pose on!

June Palmer – Down on The Thames Embankment! (Original)

There’s nothing like a day trip out in your best coat and scarf to visit the sights of London! June looking extremely elegant as she poses down on the Thames embankment in white jacket and scarf on 11th August 1963. Sometimes the simplest of images of June are equally as good as the glamour shots and this is one such shot.

I didn’t realize, but I have two other shots of June in this outfit as well as this one :)

Pamela Green – Drift Wood Pose (1958)

You can’t beat some good wood as a prop in a glamour pose and this shot is no different! Pamela Green posing beside some drift wood on a beach in the Isles of Scilly from Kamera on Location (1958). Pam looks stunning in these shots of her wearing the long darks wig and there something about them makes them stand out from other times she was posed in a dark wig. I think it may well be the use of the make-up with the fuller lips and dark eyelashes that make them differ. To most it may well not be obvious that it’s Pamela Green without the familiar long blonde locks!

Pamela Green – 1950's Chic! (1955)

A shot of Pamela Green looking very chic in a shot from a set of her wearing black pants, scarf around her neck and a tucked in blouse from 1955. This shot comes from an original silver gelatin photograph, but the same shot also appears on page 50 in ‘Pamela A Portrait in Studies’ by Harrison Marks also published in 1955.

Marie Deveraux – Through The Valleys of Sand! (1958)

A view from above of Marie Deveraux laying back covered in sand from Kamera on Location (1958). Taken on location in the Isles of Scilly by Harrison Marks this is a great shot of Marie, but I can’t work out if it’s been retouched. I think she was clean shaven below, but the angle of this shot looks off, but there is sand in places down there!

Marie Deveraux – A Sandy Outlook (1958)

A very beachy view of Marie Deveraux from Kamera on Location (1958). Sitting topless in the sand dunes wearing a sarong, blond wig and scarf. The scarf was obviously an accessory for the shoot as they all wore them and I know they were popular back then, but why wear both the wig and scarf? Anyway, who cares about the scarf with that view. :)

Just a Scarf For Protection!

A wonderful shot of Pamela Green and Marie Deveraux in nothing more than a head scarf each! Taken by Harrison Marks on the Isles of Scilly for his hardback publication ‘Kamera on Location’ in 1958. A perfect pose on the corner of an old stone wall with each of them raising a leg to add to the effect of the shot, as well as protect modesty!

Marie Deveraux Amongst The Dunes

A shot of Marie Deveraux from the original ‘Kamera on Location’ from 1958 and re-printed in ‘Just Marie Deveraux’. She appears with the blonde wig and scarf in a lot of early shots and editions of Kamera and appears on the front of Kamera No.24 and the 1963 (August) and 1964 (July)

Marie Deveraux – Film & Figure Cover

Marie Deveraux on the cover of Film & Figure Magazine No.9 by Parliament Publications (Late 1960’s). What is interesting about this shot is that it looks like a Harrison Marks shot, as she wore that blonde wig and scarf on this 1957 shoot.  This is the first decent colour shot from the shoot I’ve actually seen!
