Alice Arno

The beautiful Alice Arno by Serge Jacques. Alice modelled during the mid 1960s and 70s, appearing in several publications, including Girls Illustrated, Girls of the World and of course Cover Girls and Exciting. She also appeared in numerous European softcore films during the 1970s, including La comtesse perverse.

This shot comes from a set of contact sheets by Serge Jacques, including many of Alice. This set shows her posing in a white raincoat with very little underneath. :)

Exciting No.12 – Front & Rear!

The front and rear cover of Exciting No.12. A nice front view on the front cover showing off this model’s nice little perky tits and thick hairy pussy, all highlighted by a black outfit and suspender belt. The rear cover has an equally enjoyable rearview too, this time an impressive round rear as she sits on a stool showing off her bum and more. This was the typical style of both Exciting and Cover Girl magazines throughout both their publishing runs.

The covers and rear all both glossy colour and the quality of the colours is exceptional as you can see :)

Exciting No.30 Cover

I finally got round to scanning one of the recent European magazines I acquired recently. This is the cover of Exciting No.30 published by Nordisk Bladcentral in the late 1960s, featuring a rather attractive blonde.

The magazine features 38 pages of different images, and the style of this magazine, and it’s sister magazine Cover Girl, was quite different. Each edition featured 3 or 4 models in various poses and various states of undress. Almost always they were wearing stockings and other underwear or stripping. Like almost all European girls of that era, all had a naturally untouched pussy.

The format of the magazine was 22 cm by 16.5 cm (8.5′ by 6′) in size and generally consisted of a glossy colour magazine cover. It featured the main model on front and back covers, with the front being a front view and the back being a rearview! The centre page featured a fold out tri-page colour shot of the cover model as well. The back of also featured a double page shot of a model in bi-colour. The rest of the magazine was a mixture of shots in black and white with colour borders or bi-colour shots.

The early editions featured the models in standard uncensored poses, but nothing too explicit. As you got into the late editions such as No.30 the poses of the models became more suggestive and explicit. With the large centre spread living up to its name and members get to see the beautiful blonde above spreading much more across three pages!

The reproduction quality of these magazines by Nordisk was fantastic, and the editions that I have are no exception. They are all mint condition with good paper quality and printing. The colours are fabulous and make the models stand out, and all needed little editing after scanning. Let’s not forget that all these images were also taken by renowned photographer Serge Jacques.

A stunning set of magazines and can’t wait to scan more :)

A Real Double Page Spread!

I thought I’d kick off the weekend with the first scan from Exciting No.8 (1967). This is a double page tricoloured spread of a stunning blonde that I just adore. The image has had the staples and page line carefully edited out for your pleasure. This was also on the reverse of the main centre page spread.

What a shot and pose of this blonde beauty, who appears throughout the magazine in various poses and stages of undress. It seems Serge Jacques had a thing for his models pulling up their tops to expose their tits below! But let’s not forget the rest of her either in those great stockings and shoes with thighs opened. A great spread for the weekend in more than one way. ;)

A Serge Jacques Spread! (Original)

As promised the original print that appears on the two covers of the Taschen books about Serge Jacques here. As you can see the original is much better than the book covers and shows much more!

A beautiful French model in her black high heels and stockings as she sits in that chair open legged.  Offering us a perfect view of that of what lies between those thighs :)

Bi-Coloured Cover Girl!

I love tricoloured shots like this, especially this type of view! This comes from the introduction page of Cover Girl No.25 published in the late 1960s. I also adore this model, her smile, and the view. So look out for the full magazine in showing more of her in due course.

Some of you may know the titles ‘Cover Girl’ and ‘Exciting’. These were published by Nordisk Bladcentral, Copenhagen and distributed by Sangko-Norden and both magazines followed a very similar format. They both featured colour covers and back pages of a featured model, as well as a colour centrefold. The rest were black and white shots, but sometimes with a single coloured border or bi-coloured. All the models had one thing in common, they were nearly all natural and showing off their thick bushy curls. Most of the images of the girls were also mostly taken by Serge Jacques.

I love these magazines as they are slightly different and slightly more risqué for the 1960s than you would find over here in the UK.

So I’m trying to build up a collection of them so if anyone has any copies of Cover Girl or Exciting out there I’d love copies or even buy them off you? Very doubtful I know, as they seem to be rather rare and hard to find out there. :)

Faye Browning by Serge Jacques

Two shots of Faye Browning by Serge Jacques from the Whitestone Book No.71 – Paris Photo Beauty by Serge Jacques. Two beautiful shots of the model named Faye Browning, but looks more Christine Carter, Tina Graham or whatever name she decided to use that week!

Margaret Nolan in Chains! (1966)

This is an interesting shot and not for the obvious one of it being Margaret Nolan in chains! This shot of Margaret is from the Whitestone book No.71 ‘Paris Photo Beauty by Serge Jacques’ and taken by Serge Jacques, but looks more like a Harrison Marks shot to me, along with another shot in the book of her, which I know is from GHM. I suppose as Whitestone produced a number of these books by well known photographers images will have been swapped about, but I’m not even sure Maggie ever posed for Serge Jacques?
Thanks to Napo over on VEF for the scan.
