June Palmer in Flesh and Fantasie (Video)

As it’s Halloween I thought I’d dig out an apt video from my collection with this 1963 Harrison Marks Loop featuring June Palmer in Kamera Cine Film No.33 ‘Flesh & Fantasie’. I think this was one of the first GHM/June Palmer glamour films I ever watched, although that version was online and very poor quality. Thankfully this much better version comes from John W and his June archive, who has also added some relevant music to it rather than keeping it silent.

I also remember seeing this film under a different title of Nightmare at Elm Manor, but you can see the original title at the beginning of the film. Elm Manor is of course Ewhurst Manor, which was used many times by GHM for shoots, but in this film you get to see the outside of the house, plus several rooms including a bedroom and front room with the fireplace and wooden benches either side. All of which have appeared in numerous photo’s by GHM including many of June. The film also features GHM’s pal Stuart Samuels as the villain/monster of June’s dream and he definitely had the gaunt features to play such a character! Lastly, let’s not forget the gorgeous June who looks absolutely fabulous stripped off in her long negligee as she moves around the house :)

Enjoy!

Photo Session Featuring June Palmer (Video)

Time for another glamour film from the Harrison Marks library and this is another from the Kamera Cine Film collection, but is a double whammy as it also includes both June Palmer and Harrison Marks himself. This is Kamera Cine Film No.34 titled ‘Photo Session’, a 75 ft. black and white film taken in 1963. The exciting part about this film, other than it featuring June in her prime, is the location, which is one of my favourite locations, Ewhurst Manor. In this 6 minute film we not only get to see June in various poses for GHM, but in different parts of Ewhurst. We see the cottage door to the left of the main house, one of it’s bedrooms, the familiar main front door and various parts of the garden. For me seeing Ewhurst as part of the film always seems to add more than just as a background to a photo.

The premise of this film is again a simple one. June seems to be pretending to live at Ewhurst, when Harrison Marks turns up to take some photographs, she then strips off to pose for him in various locations. All finished off with a post session cigarette before she waves him off, giving us one last longing view of her body. What else could any hot blooded male want from such a film!

June Palmer – Beauty & The Barn – Part 1 (Video)

Time for another June Palmer glamour film, this time filmed by Russell Gay and titled ‘Beauty & The Barn – Part 1’. The premise of the film is a simple one, a young June enters a hay barn and feeling sleepy decides to take a nap, but not before she strips out of her clothes first!

The date of the film is unknown, but June looks to be fairly young in it, so probably late 50’s or early 1960’s? She also has the long hair and beauty spot on her cheek, which I’ve seen in other shots of June taken by Russell Gay, so I would assume all taken at around the same time? Thanks to John W for this film, plus additional music and he’s also provided part 2, which takes up where part one finishes :)

Enjoy!

Sleepy Time Gal (Video)

The only Dawn Grayson glamour film I have a copy of, which is a shame, but still worth showing as you get to see her lying on a bed and then stripping in some form of dream sequence. This was one of the later glamour films by Harrison Marks under the Kamera Cine Films banner and was produced in 8 mm black and white film in 1967 under the film number E.16.

Jayne Tracey (Video)

Time for another glamour film from the Harrison Marks library, and this is another from the Kamera Cine Film collection. This is Kamera Cine Film No.37 titled and featuring ‘Jayne Tracey’, a 50 ft black and white film taken in 1963. Compared to some of GHM’s earlier and later films it’s very simple, there is no scene or story to it, just Jayne posing before the camera as she strips out of her underwear. Simple but effective.

The film is missing the opening credits, but is complete apart from that and is very good quality considering it’s age, but no sound on this one again, which is how it would have been watching it back then.

June in Games That Lovers Play (Video)

Don’t blink or you’ll miss June in this short clip from the 1970 comedy ‘Games That Lovers Play’, also known as Lady Chatterley Versus Fanny Hill in the US. The film is a sex comedy starring Joanna Lumley, Richard Wattis, Penny Brahms and Jeremy Lloyd and features a very short cameo appearance by June. June is seen sitting naked, apart from a towel round her waist in a steam room when Richard Wattis walks in and she runs and hides. A short and sweet appearance lasting a whole 8 seconds, so don’t blink and enjoy the fleeting glimpse of a naked June! Thanks as always to John for the Clip :)

Art For Art’s Sake (Video)

I thought it was about time I posted another video, so why not start at the beginning with the first Harrison Marks Kamera Cine Film. This film is Kamera Cine Film No.1 titled ‘Art For Art’s Sake’, made in 1959 and published in February 1960 in black and white it was 50ft long (2:30 minutes) and available in both 8mm and 16mm formats.  Filmed at the Gerrard Street studio it features Jean Spaul and Pamela Green and the original synopsis states – ‘Lovely Jean Spaul decides to become an artist and as her model she engages beautiful Pamela Green; anything can happen with these two together.’

The film is missing the opening credits, but is complete apart from that and is very good quality considering it’s age, but no sound on this one as I haven’t had time to add any. I’ll leave you to add your own sound effects. A great glamour film from GHM featuring Pamela Green, so enjoy!

Brides in the Bath Model Identified

As you may have seen in previous posts I have shown an unseen film titled ‘Brides in the Bath‘ starring June Palmer and various other models including Teri Martine.  I’ve been able to identify the main models in the film, but there were several unidentified models also appearing in the film and until now they have remained unnamed!  Thankfully one of the models, shown in the two roles below has now been identified.

Can-Can Girl No.3 (?)

Mistress (Same as Can-Can Girl No.3?)

The model playing both of these roles has been identified as Christine Jenson/Jensen by none other than Teri Martine herself!  Teri took time last week to look at this site and the video itself and identified Christine. Unfortunately Teri doesn’t remember doing the film herself and in her own words – ‘Now I have something to share with you. I don’t remember doing one scene in the video!!!!!! not one, how could I not remember being in such a fun movie?’. Teri also mentions another model Samantha Seager, but doesn’t directly identify her in the film, but another name to research!

I must thank Teri for taking the time to look at this site and the video’s and identifying Christine and filling another blank for me. It comes as a great honour and pleasure that someone like Teri has taken an interest in the site and enjoyed looking back through it and that it brought back such wonderful memories of the models she used to work with back then!

Teri also took time to look at the Just June site and that it made her very happy to see a site dedicated to her friend June!  Great praise indeed and makes it all worth while with what I am doing!

Thanks Teri!

Highlights of this part, the can-can girls including Jayne Tracey and of course George’s third wife in the shape of June Palmer and another bath scene!

Actresses in this part are listed below, again some I cannot identify, so let me know if you spot any?

Can-Can Girl No.1 (?)

Can-Can Girl No.2 (Jayne Tracey)

Can-Can Girl No.3 (?)

Brides in The Bath – Part 1 (Video)

So as promised the full version of ‘Brides in the Bath’, well part 1 anyway, as I needed to keep the file size down for hosting!
This film was based loosely around the true life story of serial killer and bigamist George Joseph Smith.  I won’t bore you with the details, but if your interested in the real story there is a link here
The story behind this film … Arthur Howell was hired to shoot a musical version of the Brides in the Bath story by someone whose name might have been Moscowicz. The details about who wanted this film are sketchy as the notes made at the time were destroyed in a fire. Fortunately the film itself survived. Harry Roy was to have written the music, but he died before shooting started, but the film was shot silent anyway. As Roy died on 1st February 1971, the film must have been shot at some point after this.  Arthur was never paid, so he hung onto the film until he sold it to my contact John W around 1985. He put together the film as best he could, but the film bears very little resemblance to the real story.

So how did I come by this film?  I saw a brief clip ‘June The Newlywed’ on YouTube posted by John and mailed him to ask permission to use the short clip being a June Palmer fan.  John kindly replied saying I could use the clip and then offered me the full film and the history of the film as described above.  Great I thought, an unseen June Palmer film to share, but I nearly fell of my chair when I watched the full version!  Not only does it start June Palmer, but a number of other well known models of that time including Teri Martine, Dawn Grayson, Jayne Tracey and others I have as of yet been unable to identify. The highlights for me?  The Dawn Grayson & June Palmer bath scenes of course!

George (?)

1st Wife (?)

Waitress/Maid (Teri Martine)

Matron? (?)

Mistress/2nd Wife (Dawn Grayson)

For those wanting to skip through things Teri Martine starts at 7 minutes and Dawn Grayson at 17 minutes

So I leave you to enjoy part 1, with part 2 coming soon!  In the meantime can anyone identify the other models or the real name of George?  If so please do let me know?

P.S. If the video fails at any point, do let me know :)
