Totally Trudy (1969)





Five shots of Trudy Eyre (Angela Duncan) taken by Terry Sparks. As I said in a previous post I hadn’t realized that Terry had taken any photo’s of Trudy until he sent these, but then he explained he had and that her real name (or name on the cheques) was Trudy.

A couple of things you will notice about these shots. Some are very familiar and if you look on some of the vintage forums you will see similar images to these at the same location that have been published in various men’s publications during the late 1960’s and 70’s. Secondly and unfortunate, these images are only small and not up to the usually high standard I get from Terry, but there is a reason for that, which I’m sure Terry won’t mind me sharing. As Terry explains –  “My own black/white files, some 27000 negatives were all destroyed in 2003 at the behest of her indoors. Something I have bitterly regretted ever since, as they would have been worth a few bob on Ebay. The only good news is that I took three or four shots of the best girls and transferred them onto a SVHS tape before the destruction took place. I am hoping to be able to digitise the tape onto my PC and then get some prints off, so far without much success.” Well Terry managed to get some images off the tape and those are the ones above.

Hearing Terry’s story I think I was as gutted to hear this story as he was! Think of all those great images I could have shared, but then I realize what I’ve already seen and shared and I’m glad Terry has shared what he managed to retain. Plus we do get a glimpse at some of the models such as Trudy that he had the pleasure of shooting over his career.

Venetia Day – A Wet & Glistening View! (Original)

The final solo image of Venetia Day by Terry Sparks. This time a rear view shot of her as she poses thigh deep in the sea off Rhodes, with the sun glistening off her wet body and the smallest hint of one nipple! I assume as we can see the shoreline in the background that Terry was deeper in the sea than Venetia, hopefully he kept this equipment dry (boom boom!)

The Very Lush Leonarda Colombo (Original)


Of all the images sent through by Terry Sparks of different models that have posed for him in the 1970’s, Leonarda Colombo has to be a favourite! What a fabulous shot of her posing on the beach in Crete in May, 1972, with a big smile on her face from under the sun hat. And let’s not overlook her main assets, the stunning curves of her sun tanned body, those round tits and that dark, thick lush pussy, highlighted by the tan-lines caused by her bikini bottom.

Simply wonderful, but a real shame I only have these two shots of her, but a huge thanks to Terry as always for sharing his portfolio of beauties like Leonarda with us :)

Maria Frost – Incognito Flash!

An incognito Maria Frost wearing a short dark wig giving us a flash, whilst enjoying the sun! An original From Terry Sparks, I wouldn’t have known it was Maria, if not for the fact Terry had told me and that she wears that chain and cross in a fair few images I have seen. She also tends to like her wigs in the shots I’ve seen. Brilliant shot from Terry and is that a string vest I see, because that’s definitely the way to wear one if it is!

Leonarda Colombo – Sun Hat Stunner! (Original)


The final one for today and I’ve left the best to last (in my opinion), with a stunning shot of Leonarda Colombo by Terry Sparks.

After my last shot from Terry, he contacted me again with some more new shots, including this one and some more great little stories attached. Terry mentioned that the trip to Rhodes was financially quite lucrative and so the following year he took another three girls to Crete for a week in May, 1972. It was a disaster due to the fact that it rained all day and every day until the day before they were due to fly back. So they worked like crazy on that final day and managed to get a few decent shots, including the one above. The girls were Jeanette Marsden, Leonarda Colombo and Pippa Pascale and I’ll reveal more about those girls later, as I have shots of them all.

I’ve never come across Leonarda before, if that is indeed her real name, but what a stunning shot Terry managed to capture of her, her body and let’s not forget that magnificent bush on display! I may be biased here, but Terry’s work always manages to amaze me, from the way he gets the model to pose, looking so natural in doing so, to the clarity of the shots, under the circumstances :) I have a growing collection of shots from Terry, which I’m proud to show off on this site and always enjoy the next set of shots that thankfully come my way and long may that continue. You also forget looking at these shots that they are over 40 years old and it’s no wonder that the likes of Russell Gay and others were more than happy to publish Terry’s work whenever they could. Saying that I’m sure there must be out-takes for shots with the models I haven’t seen, as Terry only sends through the best shots, but who wouldn’t :)

Three More Cherry Treats!

Three more shots of Cherry (Cherri) Gilham following on from these I’ve already published. Taken by Terry Sparks, they again show Cherry posing in different ways in a chain bikini on set amongst the pillows. The final image also gives us another glimpse of her full and glorious bush, which is more than you normally saw from her in her page 3 days!

A Day in The Sun!

A second shot of Venetia Day by Terry Sparks whilst on location in Rhodes in 1971. Unlike the first shot here, this is a wider shot of her, soaking wet with her arms out wide, as she stands in the sea.  I love the pose and how the water glistens on her wet dark body. Another stunning shot shared by Terry :)

Two Additional Charm’s (1955)

Sent through by Terry, two pages from Charm No.25 (1955) starring a small breasted blonde model. As Terry explains, “I was having a bit of a clear out last weekend when I came across my old copy of “Charm” magazine no. 25, published around 1955 or 1956. It cost the princely sum of 1/6d (75p in modern currency) and the only reason I kept it all these years, is because in it are the first two nudes that I ever had published, I guess I was around 18 or 19 at the time.” Two stunning shots and worthy of sharing, just to see the first published shots from Terry that set him on a path of glamour photography. Thanks Terry and the model looks familiar, but can’t quite name her?

Dinah Challen – The Trio Complete!

Another shot from Terry Sparks and this is Dinah Challen and completes the trio of models taken and photographed in Rhodes. The three models are Dinah, Venetia Day and Marianne Morris and I’ve republished the image of all three in the surf below. Terry provided some information about Dinah, but he lost touch with her after we returned to the UK. As far as he is aware these were the only pictures she ever had taken, but he may well be wrong.

A Nice Day For It!


After Marianne Morris from the ‘Rhodes Rears’ shot by Terry Sparks, we now have the second of the trio in the stunning form of Venetia Day. Terry sent these through after my last Marianne post and I must admit I hadn’t come across Venetia before, but glad I have now! A stunning shot of her body as she poses in the sea for Terry and I love how the water glistens on her body in the above shot.  After seeing Venetia I went off to do a little research about her and found out much more about her. She caused quite a stir at the Earls Court Car Show in 1971, by posing in nothing other than a pair of white bikini bottom’s on the F1 cars from that year. The same year she also appeared in Mayfair and made several soft appearances in glamour films.
