My late wife was born just 15 days after June Palmer, both would have been 84 this August if they were still with us.
Although being two inches taller than JP’s diminutive 5’2″ (although I’ve seen that quoted a bit shorter) my wife had a body almost identical to June’s, and very proud of it she was too. The extra inches were all in my wife’s leg length. Proud of her body or not, she had a shy streak, hated cameras pointed in her direction, would never in a million years have been a photographic model, which has been a sad loss to fans of Kamera, QT, Girl Illustrated and other like magazines. It seems I was the only man in her life to appreciate and enjoy it.
However, as the years and childbirth went by her body suffered, and unable to maintain its shape in the same way that June was able to.
But I have wonderful memories of it, and very happy to know what its like to live with a June Palmer look alike, they were even not dissimilar in the face department either.
